  1. I’m getting material purchased for a 16’x10, hoop house / greenhouse to supplement our larger uncovered garden. Two foot high side sections with cattle panels arched over the top. I’m planning to have a raised bed in one side and shelving on the other. Any tips for someone new to greenhousing? Im going to do it “right” as far as construction goes but don’t plan to go high dollar on extras. Basically just lightweight door and window frames with plastic coverings.
  2. Bumping this thread back from the dead. I just picked one of these up yesterday for my 17 Gen 5. I haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet but I really like it so far. It doesn’t fit in with the current trend of enclosed dots but I’d say the pros outweigh the cons on this one since it’s not going to be a carry gun. It points pretty much identically to an irons only Glock. It’s not quite co witness with the stock sights but it’s close. I wasn’t sure how I’d like a green dot but it doesn’t bother me in the least so far. Anyone else got hands on with one of these?
  3. There’s lots of land in Fayette county but it’s getting more expensive by the minute!
  4. I would agree with the 43 pick. Since the 43x and 48 came out, I think many see it as obsolete. I’ve recently given my wife my 48 and went back to a 19 for EDC. The 43 can be pocketed in shorts on those super hot, “I don’t want to wear a holster” days.
  5. I’ve used something similar early on in my shooting. The red dot will get you that same feedback without firing a round though. Unless of course you close your eyes when you shoot.
  6. Anyone that shoots out of their living room must be doing something right.
  7. I skimmed through the thread so I apologize if this has been mentioned…. If you don’t have a red dot equipped hand gun, I would get one. Learning to use and training with a red dot ended up unintentionally being one of the best training tools I have purchased. The dot will give you instant visual feedback of what’s happening during your trigger press. Even if you mainly shoot or carry irons only, it will 100% improve not only your trigger press, but your presentation if you put the time in. Now regarding grip, I have found success using this technique shown by Bob Vogel. While I don’t do it exactly like he shows with his support hand, the strong hand advice is spot on. I basically apply pressure in the opposite direction with my support hand. I can slap the trigger to my hearts content and stay on target.
  8. The gun is in great condition and has probably less than 500 rounds through it. I bought it for my wife to carry and she rarely shot it. Will come with everything in the factory box and three mags. One of which is an extended mag. I did lightly sand down the rough texture on the extended mag so it didn't rub the skin or clothing as badly when carrying IWB. The 407K has lived the same life. It's in great shape with only minor mounting wear shown in the picture. No drops or anything like that. The Tenicor Velo 4 will come with one clip as shown. SOLD
  9. As the title says. I’m looking for a Glock 19 or 45 Gen 5 in the Memphis area. Looking for a private sale rather than new. Thanks.
  10. My guess is the latter. I can’t think of a situation like this in my lifetime that has been handled the way this one has across the different parties involved. Due process will be had of course but the police, city, local news networks, etc. spared no language calling this what it is from the start.
  11. Hopefully this doesn’t come across as combative because it isn’t meant to be at all. My overall support / defense / etc. for good cops hasn’t changed. That said, I don’t see much to defend here. As another member posted, these guys just looked like dudes who happened to be wearing a police uniform. I too was proud to see how Memphis handled last night overall. Hopefully no outsiders come in and stir up the masses.
  12. Yeah I told my wife to not even watch what’s being shown on the news.
  13. Still watching but it is difficult to watch so far. They seemed to be looking for excuses to beat this guy.
  14. I’ll probably try one as well. The reset was the only thing I couldn’t get past on the Timney. I’ll bet Timney is thrilled with this release…..
  15. This listing will come with everything shown in the pictures. Watch Official Nike White Sport band 3 Official Apple Sport loops for 44/45mm (Black Nike, Green/Black, and Black with navy and brown accents) Otter box cover/case Official charging puck Everything works like it should with the only notable wear being a tiny scuff on the bottom left of the screen which you can’t really see unless you try SOLD
  16. It’s kind of funny really but….. I sent the Garmin back today. I remembered how freeing it was in the few months I went without a smartwatch and decided it just wasn’t worth the money for me. I actually decided to get a simple mechanical watch with a leather band that I can wear everyday and was half the price. Maybe I’ll start a new thread when it comes in.
  17. So thanks to another awesome member that saw my post, I now have a gently loved goruck GR0 with a few add-ons on the way. While I was excited about the Vertx, I think I’m going to be much happier with this one. Overall build quality just seems to be next level compared to the Vertx I handled in person. I’ll likely never wear either of them out but that no BS GoRuck warranty is pretty awesome.
  18. Yeah it was in the list but I’m just not ready to commit that much on my first bag. I want to make sure this sticks then I may pony up. The GR1 looks like a really nice bag.
