  1. That's why Wally World is the perfect place to try out your first outing with you HCP. You know, the famous Wally Walk.
  2. OK, I don't think anyone has brought this up yet. One of the main reasons Wal-mart can sell so cheap that they make their money on the buy. The have a herd of buyers that beat down their suppliers. Add to that they can sell cheaper because of volume, they just don't need to make as much on a box of ammo as the mom and pop shop. As far as folks complaining about Wally world and still purchasing there, I hear the same types of stuff on other forums. Guys on the wood working forum complain about tools bought at the big box home stores, yet keep shopping there. Guys on the tractor forum complain about implements purchased at the farm store such as TSC, yet keep shopping there. Just human nature. Me personally, when I want the cheap, not so important items, I shop at the cheap suppliers. When I want the good stuff, I go to the real deal dealers.
  3. I can just see a couple of good ole boys out there after shooting down a drone. "Why hellll, that was more fun than shootin pigeons. Send a nother one!"
  4. That's cool. Be even cooler if your street address was 1911.
  5. Now the real test is to swallow a whole mouse and take another mouse and place it in some mountain dew to see which one breaks down the fastest.
  6. Bill Wade, the outgoing chair of the Coalition of National Park Service Retirees, said Congress should be regretting its decision to allow loaded weapons in national parks. He called Sunday's fatal shooting a tragedy that could have been prevented. He hopes Congress will reconsider the law that took effect in early 2010, but doubts that will happen in today's political climate. Buncha idiots!!!

    Gun Explodes

That's the first thing I thought as well.
  8. "That's right hun, ... red, yellow, black, and white,.... we're all God's children".
  9. There has been a couple on instances where I came very close to needing one and I didn't have one. Nothing makes me feel more stupid than to not be prepared when I could have been so easily. That was the end of that.
  10. We all know what the phrase "going postal" means these days. Wonder why we don't ever hear the phrase "going UPS" or "going FedEx" in the same context?
  11. I would love to see the USPS go under and take all their feakin' junk mail with them. You know, the junk mail that has been paying their bills and keeping them out of financial trouble. The junk mail that is legalized littering and filling up the landfills.
  12. My thing is, I never have cash these days, actually years. All I use is plastic. The last place that only accepted cash that I did business with was my barber shop. When the economy started to tank my barber said that a lot of guys would be having their hair cut at home. That planted the seed for me to do the same. Since then, I've gone all plastic.
  13. I'd like to know what weapon and caliber was used.
  14. I'd probably do it. It's most likely a 99.9% chance that nothing would happen to begin with. If it did, it's just a couple of friends out shopping and one just happens to have a carry permit. I would not do it for hire.
  15. After Thanksgiving: "When you just can't get away from the in-laws fast enough"
  16. Some may say you forgot the "hold my beer" part. However, it's been my experience that beer does not have to be part of the equation for the good ole boys.
  17. I'm thinking it is of the Mulberry family. The is about 10 different ones.
  18. Wow! Just wow! It's hard to imagine anyone with even enough sense to turn on a light switch would write a response like that. That should be included in the "How to Kill a Business 101" book.
  19. So, now you got me wondering which Kroger in the boro. No matter really, I can see this happening at any of them. The only problem I have going out in public is all the people. And, it ain't getting any better.
  20. Like others have indicated, I know for a fact at one time the park had two full time rangers that all they did was hunt hogs. It wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination at all if a person had to shoot one in self defense. Most likely if you shot one in the park you'd be patted on the back unless 1. some PETA tree huggin dirt worshiper types 10 year old daughter witnessed it and cried her little eyes out so mommies sues the park for allowing animal cruelty, or 2. you are decked out in Rambo cammo, face paint and all.
  21. Yes, banks like any business are in it to make money. But, Regions has crossed the line. There is a difference between making a reasonable profit and greed. Sell someone gas for an inflated price during a crises and it's called gouging. Ask a man to pay a service charge at his employers bank after he has busted his but all week in the hot sun (and this guy has got an outstanding work ethic) and I call that greedy gouging. Say he could go somewhere else. Well so could the crisis victim who needed to purchase gas. Both are over the proverbial barrel. And, not only are they greedy, they are STUPID too. Not allowing legal carry. That's just stupid.
  22. I've really been getting fed up with Regions. Well, today was the final straw. It seems in all their greedy wisdom they have decided to charge my guys to cash their paychecks at my bank. I'm done with them. Gonna close my business and personal checking, savings, and cd's. I hope they choke on their greed and go bankrupt. Oh, I should add another one of my gripes is that they are the only bank around here that will not allow carry permit holders to enter armed, which is their right in TN. I should have dumped them long ago but just never would take the time. I pretty got to where I was doing all my banking through the drive thru because of the carry thing, but that still urks me. But, enough is enough!
  23. Maybe not all, but just read his disclaimers and see what all he's not responsible for.
  24. If you can, speak with the neighbors about the house. There's horror stories out there about snakes, crack, murder, you name it. Most of the time the neighbors will be more than happy to share info. Most home inspectors have a multitude of disclaimers to protect them from anything they miss. They usually won't "find" anything that is a deal breaker as they depend on realtors for referrals, like snakes, former crack house toxins, etc.
  25. So basically, her parents can sign her up for statutory rape.
