  1. i might try to make it. Ya'll let us know the gun/junk ratio Yeah somebody let me know if it is worth the drive!
  2. It was very busy. I did have to walk a little bit. might be slower tomorrow?
  3. Well it was not wasted this time. It took me 13$ to get in the door, but sold some brass and holsters and 2 ar-15 mags, so I made a little money. Only thing I bought were some gas rings for my ar: 1$ for three. Maybe I won't go next month.........
  4. Every month, I swear off going next month, but next month rolls around and I think "Who knows what I will find, I should go." Then, see first sentence.
  5. Okay buddy, I certainly did not listen to this advice, as most people don't, but do not go buy a bunch of guns before you go to a couple of matches and see what you like. Do the pros at the Iron man shoot a compact 9mm? Heck no, but that ain't you or me. Take what you got. I had an xdm 9mm and that is the gun I still shoot, but I did not go out and buy it just for three-gun.Good Luck
  6. The sterling type 2 9mm. I had never seen one until a couple of weeks ago on Bud's guns, now I cannot stop thinking about one. I just think it looks neat. A 9mm carbine is probably going to be my next purchase. And I would like it to be different or unique. That type 2 is definately unique. Does anyone have any experience with one? I am convinced I could get like 10 feet of picatinney rail on that barrel shroud(I think that is a barrel shroud). Seriously, I would consider putting a red dot on it and have a plinking machine. Any Thoughts???? Any other thoughts on a different 9mm carbine?
  7. I have the strikefire. I like it, but I have never used an aimpoint or eotech or anything really expensive. It did break after I had had it about a year. Of course Vortex fixed it for free, but until the moment it broke(during a three gun stage), I never knew why anyone would buy anything else. Now I guess I know why. They said the on/off switch broke. I still use the strikefire in the bit of competitive shooting that I do. I believe it is well worth the money, of course if this switch breaking is a yearly occurence, my opinion will change.
  8. I hate to be a crybaby, but I noticed the scores for the pistol were posted, are the scores for the rifle/pistol posted anywhere? I am just dying to know how poorly I did.
  9. Does anyone here cut down trees and sell them to a sawmill? I live in Nashville and have started daydreaming of buying 20-30 acres out in the middle of nowhere to play on and build a little cabin and take the kids on the weekends. I hoped I could make a little money selling some timber. I know there are companies that will buy your standing timber, but where is the fun in that? I would love to cut some trees down and haul them off. Anybody have any thoughts or experiences???
  10. I heard that it was pretty cold this morning. I prefered to stay in bed with my wife. Maybe next time....
  11. NTPS thanks so much for trying something a little different. I really enjoyed the match. It was alot of fun!!
  12. Alright, I am ready for some rifle/pistol action. I am bringing 100 rounds of each. If you think that is way too much, you have not seen me shoot. If that is not enough, Walmart is not too far away. Thanks NTPS for trying this!!
  13. I am really just talking more about gear-holsters, mag holders, shotshell holders. Stuff like that, but thanks
  14. Has anyone ever seen like a swap meet type deal after a shooting match? I am still a beginning shooter, and bet the gamers have more gear in the back of their closet collecting dust than I use. Is there a reason it is not done? Just a thought.
  15. With a description like that I may start thinking IDPA is a four letter word
  16. Consider me officially interested!! If my brother and I can weasel out of taking my sister and her friend shooting, we will be there!!! How would this compare(equipment/safety) to IDPA/three gun. Is there anything you can think we would need special??
  17. I would really like to see more two-gun style matches. Rifle/pistol or shotgun/pistol. Three guns are awesome, but so much crap to lug around and it seems like they take forever sometimes. But short of actually getting involved in a club, I have enjoyed all the local matches I have attended. Green River Gun Club and Music City Tac Shooters
  18. Well it looks like I am going to make it! Weather looks good, Hopefully my shooting will too.
