Tritium sights on an AK47

I've been thinking of installing tritium sights on my AK47. I lose the front sight against different types of backgrounds and found some online by XS. Is this a good idea to install? If so, or if not, what kind of sights? I have considered just painting the front sight, but its so narrow I don't know if it would help. Thanks!

10kilr has those XS sights I believe and he liked them if those are in fact the ones he has.

Yes, the big dots do in fact rule. Sight acquistion is exceptional and longer range shots are also possible, just use the top of the dot.

Go get some.

+1

I have the XS Big Dots on all my AKs.

Yes, you can install them yourself if you have an AK front sight tool. You might need a third hand to install the rear sight depending on how tight yours is.
