Glock with a metal frame???

CCF RaceFrames, LLC. makes frames for Glocks in Aluminum, Stainless Steel and Titanium. Since this is a frame, it is "the gun" as far as BATFE is concerned so it has to go through a FFL.

Among the options are a 1911 grip angle.

All your current Glock parts just drop into the new frame.

It adds a bunch of weight to the pistol and a hefty price as an accessory. Prices go up to $349.95 for AL or Ti next week, so order today!!!

I saw one of these recently in a gun shop but have never fired one. Anyone here have any experience with these or know anything about them?

From the pictures here and others I have seen the grip angle is the same but the backstrap is cut down and has different inserts. So standard Glock mags work fine, you just end up with a 35 ounce or so Glock instead of a 22 ounce Glock, which is what they want for fast action shooting.

I was shooting my all stainless SW 4586 Sunday and then switched to a recently acquired Glock 30 and there is a huge and very noticeable difference in recoil you get when you shoot them back to back. I usually shoot Glock to Glock and you don't notice that much recoil difference but that extra 17 ounces or so really makes a difference.

The guy that runs the TAC2 IPSC matches has one. It feels just like a 1911 gripwise and the weight is ALOT heavier. Throw a Dawson magwell on it and you got yourself a helluva limited gun.

If you were looking for a designer/pretty gun it would be kind of neat to have the Titanium heat cycled for some interesting color combinations.

LWD is making slides now as well, so if you want a glock without buying a glock, you could buy the slide/barrel/innards from LWD then buy one of these frames. Talk about frankenstein!
