You'll be fine. If it's got a legal length barrel, you can pretty much guarantee the OAL is legal as well.

Question on that I've never really had answered:

if you get the stamp for short barrel shotgun or rifle, does that also allow you to be under 26"?

Those two measurements both covered by same stamp?

whoa there.... so your sayin i can cut the barrel off of my mossy500 that came brandnewinbox pistolgrip?? for onlyu $5

I'll let others confirm, but I believe that IS the rule difference.

Becomes AnyOtherWeapon ($5) rather then ShortBarreledShotgun ($200)

But don't do it till you have stamp in hand.

Again, my question, slightly modified by this post.

Does the Short Barreled Shotgun/Rifle stamp also allow the under 26" overall length?

Does the AOW stamp also allow the under 26" length?

No. The $5 Stamp is for transferring an AOW. Building one still requires a $200 tax stamp. Secondly, the shotgun can never have had a buttstock on it, it had to have come from the factory that way, otherwise it would be a SBS.

(M3) What is the tax on making an NFA firearm? [Back]

The tax is $200 for making any NFA firearm, including "any other weapon."

Yes I am pretty sure the tax stamps do away with any length restrictions.
