You already did a thread before where you said you grew up under Tito. What a benevolent man. I sure hope Obama is as great a leader as he was.

to tell you a truth. I love Capitalism.

I wouldn't be too hard on him guys. It takes a while to understand capitalism and freedom. As much as we like to think it is 2nd nature, for those who were ingrained in socialism it takes a while to change.

I'll never forget the lecture my grandfather gave at a university in the Ukraine to Professors, grad students, and government officials on the business of agriculture. He didn't get many questions until he began to talk about profit. Nearly the entire auditorium raised their hand to ask the same question. "What is a profit and what would you do with more money than the cost of production?"

America has been a truly unique place never before seen on this planet. It's hard to remain the only standard amidst the roar of oppression. The flow of popularism is so alluring to the weak.

sure, I don't speak Hillbilly

Gotta give you credit for that sense of humor, but i learned to like Borat, also. :D

strel, if you work 24/7, you should be wealthy. That's the way it is, until you hand over your wealth to the king so he can take care of you. We don't like kings over here. It's even written into the constitution, that titles, nobility thing.

We are individuals and choose to remain that way. When allowed to be, we are the most charitable group of individuals on the planet and would rather it remain that way. Having Obama tell us how to live our lives won't last, and

the on;y way it could last is from the barrel of a gun. that won't happen, either. good luck with your temporary Obamacare. ;)

Through this whole debate its funny how one thing gets over looked right.

I mean if we are insuring 30 million new people then basically 10% of the population right? Then that must mean that 90% of the population already have healthcare right? So we are going to destroy the best system in the world to accomplish some socialist utopian dream for the benefit of the 10%.

This next question is directed at Strelcvina. Please explain to me the best you can what is you moral basis, justification for taking from one to provide for another.

I get the impression you came from a socoalist utopia, why did you come here, for freedom to make your own way and a better life, or for free stuff. And wasn't the healthcare better where you came from?

i will try to explain ,why i support it.

let me start with Socialist Utopia.

Socialism is dead it doesn't exist any more, just like Monarchy or Colonialism. it will newer come back just like Roman Empire.

so even talking about it , is just a waste of time.

I lived in Different countries in Europe , and let me assure you U.S has a worst Healthcare.

i worked here with USCC. and let me tell you, i witnessed people being denied medical treatment . and morally that is just wrong.

and who is saying anything about free stuff. i just don't understand how people came with a free stuff.

it is just so primitive. so fox news.. let me get angry and scream loudly Socialist, free, terrorist, end of a world.

and a lot of people will believe it.

and BTW i could be your next President

i look as good as Ronald Regan

lady's love me just like Bill Clinton

i speak same English like George Bush

and im not born in U.S. like Obama :P

Sorry, socilaism still exsist, look at Europe, may not be Soviet Union styled socialism but is still socialism, so talking about it isn't a waste of time.

Being denied treatment because you can';t afford it is illegal in the US of A emergency rooms cannot by law turn you away, again that is a lie of the MARXIST left. Also this in not moral justification for forcing citizens of the USA to buy a product they do not want at gunpoint. Which is how any government inforces it's law by threat of incarciration or violence.

Why is it that people come here supposedly for a better life and then try and turn the country into the same :poop:hole they left. Never ceases to amaze me.

Oh a little story on European health care and its greatness.

Back in 1993 I had back surdery on my lower back, tried severl options of treatment and finally surgery was the only rerasonable option. From the time the decision was made to the time surdery was performed was approx 1 week.

So after 6 or so weeks of recovery the boss said hey would you like to go to Denmark for some training on a new

product it would be light duty, so off I go to Denmark. Long short training went well had a good time and after 3 weeks off to the airport.

Taxi driver picks me up, knee is all bandged up, and we got to talking about my surgery and his bum knee. He could not believe

the kind of care I recieved. He needed knee surgery and was on a list but it was estmated it woulf be get this 8 years before

he could get it. I told him to hop a plan and he'd be back home in 2 weeks with it done, he'd have to pay but better than being in pain for a decade of his life. Don't know if he took my advice or not, hope he did. Canada, Britian etc, all the same you just have to read and research and the truth is out there.

Socialism is dead?

I think a whole lot of people missed the memo on that.

I see a lot of countries in Europe facing economic ruin. I see a lot of Europeans (and brits, and canadians) coming to the US for medical procedures. I see a lot of horror stories about failure of socialized medicine.

One of us here is confused.

I am a retired RN. Wife is an RN. TN care/illegals/deadbeats are sucking the life blood out of healthcare. It will become much worse when Obamacare mandates your healthcare. After all, our government has such a great track record with medicare, social security, Amtrac. Lots of luck to you all. You're going to need it.

do you even own a car, or do you drive somebody's?

when bush was a president ,they changed a law, that you MUST have insurance if you drive a car on the street.

if you drive a car without a insurance, you will be punished for it.

so heltcare bill is something similar. if you have life, you have to have insurance.

You don't have to drive a car.

Not only that, if I run a red light and T-bone your car, it affects you, not just me. If I don't carry health insurance and get cancer, and die, just how exactly are you affected? You're not. So there's a huge difference and that is why car insurance is mandated.

i agree 100%.

it is all about a control.

20-25% money goes to rich bastards, who monopolizing our life .

plus 5-10% more for medication and any extra.

and all that when you perfectly healthy.

so USA so far, you got to give 20-35% of your hard earned income, Healthy.

and if you little sick, you got to give more than 50%.

so I.m for government to take little control over healthcare.

if i pay at least cant be denied anymore

And if you read the rules for you insurance and choose the right one, under the current system you can't be denied. Not all insurance is created equal, and it is your responsibility to know the rights and limitations under each one.

:) Im will disagree with you right now. and i will tell you why.

first: financially all i got to have is 1$ positive cash in my pocket.and it would be more money than 95% people in this country.

and that is basic economics. hope you can agree with that.

Only if you can provide evidence of that. I think that's just a wild guess thrown out there with nothing to back it up.

so why not Private military and private hwy's.

ups wait . there is Private military and private hwy's.

and nobody is freaking using it, because is expensive as a hell.

now you know that is seriously expensive, so you fine with Gov. control over that:rolleyes:

Oh please ....

and btw.. 00000+

Why not? Because it is the government's job to "provide for the common defense[.]" The government should only be concerned with things the private sector can't, won't, or shouldn't do. And military definitely falls under "shouldn't." But if they did, you can bet your ass they would do it cheaper and more efficiently.

Here are some facts about how bad US health care is compared to Europe:

Life expectancy, in years:

EU: 78.67

US: 78.11

Yah, it's obvious that health care in the US is far worse - Europeans average living 6 months longer.

Ok let me just take your example. so you said there is chance for you to T-bone my car ,and that is reason enough to mandate insurance.

and you comparing that to having a cancer.

how about you come to my office and give me a TB. or flu

there is more people in the world dieing from flu, than being T-boned.

You think health insurance is going to make any difference in flu contraction and / or deaths?

Seriously?

I mean, I automatically dismiss most everything you say as you have such a warped perspective on, well, seemingly everything, but the thought that people with health insurance don't contract the flu is especially laughable.

I did, maybe you should try reading comprehension.

The implication of your post is that mandatory insurance is fine for autos as one person may affect another. Carrying that over by mentioning flu is silly, as regardless of insurance, the flu does what it does.

Your analogy is broken, is that clear enough?

This bill is good thing. Right now I work for a living. But I’ve been thinking I would like at lay at home on the couch and watch Oprah. This bill tied with a couple of others I’m sure Obama has in the works may allow me to do that.
