We need to get out first clean-up in before they will post our sign, so I'll try to get a date set ASAP.

Just noticed on my way into work this morning that the TN Gun Owners sign is up!

Somebody needs to get onto Ricky Skaggs cause his section, which is the one before TGO is trashy. :P

We need a couple of La-Z-Boys up on the embankment so we can observe our stretch of highway.

Where abouts is it again? I don't hit the Vet much but since I need to get down to H'ville soon anyway, I'll make a drive by.

Imagine, a guy with a gun, doing a driveby, and nobody gets shot!

How can that be!?

I need to pay more attention. Came home that way and didn't see it. When did the first clean up happen? I saw a guy picking up trash on the section a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't think it was TGO related.

I can probably get a picture of the sign tomorrow.

WOW! I'll have to get a picture tomorrow. They weren't supposed to have the sign put up until after our first clean-up.

Where exactly is it at?

The 'Sumner County Adopt-A-Highway Group' will now be responsible for the section of highway located between mile marker #3 and mile marker #6 on the eastbound (from Nashville towards Gallatin) side of Highway 386, better known to many as Vietnam Veterans Boulevard.

Barney Fife wants to know if that gives us citizens arrest powers for our section of the road!

I've always wanted to PIT somebody :)

BTW, the lady I've been speaking with told me that our assigned section of highway would be from mile marker #3 to mile marker #6. Based on the actual location of our sign, that information does not appear to be correct.

I will have to take another look, but I think our section is going to be from mile marker #4 to mile marker #6. I will double check and update this thread as soon as I get a chance.

Joe at Hero-Gear has graciously offered to donate some ANSI II Hi-Vis safety vests for this project. Rather than borrowing vest from the state each time, we could have our very own. This would also allow us to put some sort of TGO logo (even if with a Sharpie) on the vests.

Thanks again to Joe and Hero-Gear. :P
