I have a chance to pick up a Marlin 60c 22. I have a chance to get one for $150. Im just looking for something to shoot thats cheaper than my .380. Its just over a year old and has a few hundred rounds through it. Good deal? Ive done a search and see that most poeple have one and like them.

Model 60's come in many varieties and prices. You can pay as much as $300 for a new one, or you can pay $20 bucks for one that may or may not work.

It's a great rifle and that is probably a good price. Some of the added value comes from the fact that it isn't a "vanilla" 60. The rifle should be the most modern version. You gain the "last-shot" bolt hold open, modern trigger, and modern barrel grooving over the older ones. You loose the larger capacity magazine. You should probably try to get the seller to come down a little, but you should always do that.

Do I think you should by a Model 60, Absolutely.

Do I think you should by this Model 60, probably, but remember you can find many M60's in many different flavors, prices and conditions if you choose not to buy this one.

Well, it is a friend that Ive known for years. So I do have some wagger room. But not much that I want to ruin a friendship. On gunbroker they are going for 175 to 300 for the camo version which is what Im looking at. I may offer 135-140.

My first gun (that I still have) is a Marlin-Glenfield Model 60. I've had it near 30 years, and I have no idea how many bricks of .22 have been through it. I've seen some of the new rifles from Marlin, and they look just as good as my ancient one does. If the prices are going for that much on Gunbroken, then I'm sure you'll do well with this one. I'd buy it if I didn't need to spend that money on more ammo.

I have 2 Marlin 60's. One is a well aged Western Auto Parts Revelation 120 the other is a New model 60. I paid 35.00 for the WA Rev. 120 and 80.00 for the new model 60.

I would haggle down the price. I simply will not pay more than 100.00 out the door for a Model 60 and it's sister rifles.

My model 60 is by far the best 22 I own and is the cheapest and only used one in the bunch. I grabed it for 80 bucks at a show in Kingsort in 2004. My three Ruger 10-22's are not even close. Federal bulk ammo is the only problem I have had.
