LMAO man that's why I'm sad to see all these guys starting to go, true comedy. I've never laughed harder through movies than I did Naked Gun and Airplane!

I hear ya. I now tend to fall asleep while watching comedies. Either I'm just a stick in the mud, or they just don't make them like they used to. I think it's the latter.

It's definitely the latter. I can appreciate raunchy humor to a degree, but if all you can do is say F*** and make sex jokes it's not that funny to me.

I'll take Airplane, Naked Gun, Mel Brooks movies, etc any day.

I think the social mores of the day made the comedy much better. The subtlety of comedy back then and the fact that you had to think about it and "get" the references, made the comedy much more engaging and enjoyable.

I grew up watching The Naked Gun and it just got funnier with age.

not til the millionth time watching it did i get that joke.

He will be missed....
