I have trouble getting going in the morning. With valiant effort managed to get there sometime after 11, shot pistol a few hours. Didn't ask anybody there if they knew about TGO. It was "just about right" number of people there, nobody had to wait for a bench to shoot at, but all slots were full. Beautiful weather for february.

Park ranger hung out most of the time today. I usually don't see rangers except they drive thru every hour or two and look in. Everybody on the pistol side seemed to know what they were doing today. No milling crowds and it appeared to be safe behavior.

It would probably be too expensive to always assign a park ranger just to hang at the range, but I can see how that might discourage some of the rowdier folks from coming. Though I've not noticed many real unsafe folk when I've been there.

The last couple of clear weekends I've gone it has been very crowded, probably people stir crazy wanting to get a chance to shoot when they could. Was not so crowded today.
