Holy Land Nativity set

I had the pleasure a couple of weeks ago to spend the day exploring the Holy Land in Israel, I visited Jerusalem and Bethlehem and it was one of the most awesome experiences of my life, while I was there I bought my wife's Christmas Present This Nativity set is hand carved out of Olive wood from Bethlehem trees that were over 500 years old, it was way to big for me to bring home on my flight home so I had them ship it. I did not expect it to be delivered until sometime in December but it showed up yesterday, so my wife has it set up now as you might imagine she was absolutely thrilled to receive a gift such as this straight from Bethlehem. Believe me when I say that pictures do not do this thing justice as it is absolutely stunning in person

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. My wife had the good fortune to take a Holy Land Tour in the early 70's, before all the insanity. She has a few treasured items from that trip as well. But sadly, nothing to compare with the Nativity Set.

You did good, my friend.

The Nativity scene is my favorite part of Christmas, kinda makes you understand the reason a little better. That is a real beauty and something to cherish forever. Thanks for posting the pictures, just the description wouldn't have been the same.

I have to say that they absolutely love Americans. I spent the day with my co worker that crew changed with me a Big Australian gentleman named David, he was shocked at how kind the locals were to me and how they went out of their way to help me when they found out that I was a American Cristian, I have to say that no matter what your beliefs it is such an amazing place that you have to see it if you ever have a chance.

I was just extremely lucky after working 23 hours straight repairing and mobilizing an ROV system, we got off the boat at 10:30PM local time in Israel, the time we went from Port Haifa to Tel Aviv and checked into our hotels it was 04:30 AM, as David and I knew this was a once in a lifetime opportunity he called my room to wake me up at 08:30 we took a Bus to Jerusalem and had Taxi drivers give us the tour.

I did not realize that Bethlehem was in Palestine, seeing the wall, visiting the Birthplace of Christ, and seeing his tomb, the Western wall this was all surreal, I will take my wife there for 10 days, we saw a lot in the 14 hours we explored but I need to go back and my wife really wants to go in all honesty I felt as safe their as I do here, I was truly amazed to see how much those people love us Americans. I have to say Israel Rocks!
