Geez, rub it in! Right now I'm sitting in the living room with my laptop, knowing that I need to get my butt in gear so that I can leave for Anderson, In. in few hours.

Congrats, JF! And good luck! Now, put down your phone and pick up your shootin' iron - there's a bigun' out there somewhere waiting to be spotted!

I'm on Scott co. So far not even a hint of a deer! Fingers crossed.

Rule number 1)Be Patient.

It's hard but some days you may not see any deer at all. I have killed two very nice deer in north Morgan County. They are there, just about being in the right place at the right time.

You going to Anderson to hunt? I went up there a couple of time, though I was hunting a different kind of whitetail around that college haha

Nope, I'm delivering a load of lumber here in the morning. (Got here about 30 minutes ago.) And my wife says that no matter what kind of wonderful sportsman I am, I'm no longer allowed to hunt that "different kind of whitetail.":(

I find this thread humorous. The idea that you are hunitng and on your phone made me chuckle.

One of my favorite things about hunting was that I had no phone service where I hunt. Then they put up a new tower and ruined that, so now I just have to ignore calls and use the same old excuse. :)

Come out to my place you won't have service at the house but you will have it in the back 40.... lol... sad part is it's true

That sounds like our house. In the back yard or back down in woods good to go, at the house sucks.

I just got home from working an hunting over in Decatur Co., I didn't kill any but my friend killed one Fri. afternoon, two Sat. morning and a thrid that evening. All together they killed seven this weekend. One guy shot one this morning but they never found it.

Feel free to borrow my voice mail greeting: "Hi, this is ___. I'm not answering the phone right now because I'm avoiding someone I don't like. Wait for the tone & leave a message - if I don't return your call... it's YOU." :D

Oh, and "right now" I'm taking a break after de-tarping in the rain in Brownsville, Tn... :)
