The Postman movie - Kevin Costner

Recommended Posts

Wyatt Earp was a great movie. The only thing that sucked was that Tombstone was released around the same time. And Tombstone was better.

Tombstone was FAR better. However, I did like how Wyatt Earp showed Earp's early years before the west. To me that was a far more interesting personal evolution in Earps' story than the bettter known western days,

I too thought Postman was a pretty good movie, but a little long. But Costner likes to go for those epic, three-hour plus sagas.

Bull Durham is a classic and is one of the most quotable movies ever. I could carry on whole conversations just quoting it. "And don't try and strike everybody out. Strikeouts are fascist. Throw some ground balls, it's more democratic."

A great Costner movie is A Perfect World, from the early 90's. Directed by Clint Eastwood, and of course you know with Clint everything he touches turns to gold.

By far my favorite Costner movie. Even though I complain about him, when pressed, I can't really find a movie of his I don't like.

I remember first time I watched this, I was at my cousin's house. I watched my stone cold uncle cry.

Damn good film.

I like just about any fairly well made and even some poorly made post-apocalyptic book and movie. First one I ever read as a child was Andre Norton's Daybreak 2250 AD. That was actually ublished before I was even born, but it set the stage for me. Have loved that stuff ever since then, lol.
