Classes on a Sunday

Recommended Posts

So I need to get my carry permit. I've been here long enough that I plan on staying and if I'm staying I want to be able to carry.
The only thing holding me back at this point is my work schedule, mon-sat 10-6.
Anyone know of a class or instructor I could take on a Sunday? Or maybe a two part class that starts at 6 or seven during the week? It would be great if the class was all inclusive with finger printing so I could save some time and just drop the form at the DMV and get on with life.

Worst case I have the week between Christmas and New Years so I suppose I could wait and try to find someone not on holiday vacation then.

What do ou all think?

I did mine at the Gun Room in Lebanon on a Sunday. The class that they do there on Sundays is faster than the full 8 hour day because you don't take a lunch break and try to limit other breaks. It also had a smaller class size (only 6 others with me) so the wait for the range is really nonexistent. It'd be worth checking on. I did it here because the G&L class had already filled up when I had the opportunity to take mine. Cost is $80 and the instructor is very good.

G&L it is! Any chance they're all inclusive fingerprints and all?

No, fingerprints are done electronically through state contractors after you pay the $115 for application at DMV, they'll tell you who to go to in your area. Part of the $115 is allocated for that. Often a UPS store or similar.

We do the fingerprinting as well. You will need to go to the DMV first and get registered with L1 before you will show up in the system for fingerprints, however.

Cool, didn't mean to step on your services there. You're the first actual gun store that I've heard of that's in the HCP authorized fingerprint system thang.

So just to be clear, I go to the class, then to the DMV to file then back to the store for the prints?

Or go to class, get the prints, go to DMV, file then the prints show in the system?
