AR15 30rd aluminum mags in stock

I just bought 2 and I don't even have an AR.  I'm planning on building one when lower prices come down but I'm really afraid that there will be a ban put on high capacity magazines, so I thought I'd pick these up while I could.

PSA had some stripped lowers in stock today for $79.95. They were ATI Omni.

There is no info given to determine whether it is a good magazine or not.

More importantly why would anyone consider buying these mags or any others for a gun they don't even own?  It only fuels what is the worse panic/shortage/buying frenzy the gun community has ever seen.

If I don't end up using them for anything, I have a friend who has two ARs And I can give them to him for a Christmas or birthday gift. Either way, they will get used. I only bought two, and I am not going to put them on gun broker for twice what I paid for them either.

I ordered some mags from core 15 last time they had them in stock. they are c products brand. with grey followers. I haven't even pulled them out of the package yet.

No bad thing in buying something for a gun you don't have. I once accidentally bought 20 gauge shotgun shells ( and I have a 12 gauge) but no refunds on ammo from wal-mart. So i keep them for barter later on or help a friend out who needs them. I may eventually get a 20 gauge one day. Till then, they stay with my stash.

If you have the money and may need it later on, who cares if you bought something for something you don't have yet. No biggie.

I've used C Products mags before with no problems on my home built FrankenAR.  I've never heard anything but good things about them.

I don't see a problem with buying a few mags for a rifle you plan to buy (especially if you think the mags might not be available later), any more than I see a problem with buying a few extra even when you already have a nice stash.  The problem is the same as the ammo situation - the system isn't designed for everyone to stock up at the same time.
