Wondering if anyone in the Chattanooga area saw this piece on News Channel 9 tonight. I found it refreshingly positive in the way it portrayed HCP holders and the whole process in general. Ill try to post a link to the story if I can find it. I have new respect for Calvin Sneed after viewing it.

I think this would be something good for gun clubs and shooting ranges all over the state to make available to HCP holders a few times a year.  I know I'd pay to participate each time it was available.  It could make a huge difference in an HCP's life if it kept one of us from making the wrong decision in a confrontation.

I’ve been through shoot-don’t shoot simulators; they are good training. But the best I have ever been through was when actors from a local college were used for traffic stops. They were scripted, but they could make changes based on your actions or reactions. You learn real quick the good guys don’t always get it right, and just because you have a gun doesn’t mean you will survive. Great training, but still not like the real thing when you know it’s not real.

Agreed.  I think it should be required training every time you renew your permit.
