Holsters fashion iwb/owb

Ok so off hours I am a fashion slob. Cargo shorts Tshirt is my standard fare. Fall is going to be upon us before too long and the wife and I will be vacationing in some cooler areas where the potential is there for warmer temps as well. So I am looking at potentially changing my method of carry. Owb right side about 15:30 works for me. I have always carried owb period. I have tried iwb for my bug Its a .380 and it doesn't work for me so I cant imagine carrying a Government 1911 iwb and it being tolerable? I don't know if its me or not using the right holster? But any suggestions for an iwb holster for someone that cant stand them? I am half tempted just to go owb and call it good but I am trying to be comfortable yet be a little less casual but not formal. Thoughts?

If a Crossbreed Supertuck isn't comfortable then you shouldn't waste any more time looking at IWB holsters...seriously.

I tolerate IWB, but don't totally like it. I carry a full size Smith and Wesson in .40 with a crossbreed holster.

I also carry a shield with IWB and its much more tolerable, but again I tolerate it.

It's worth mentioning the full size I always disarm when driving, the shield I don't need to.

I guess that probably doesn't help much.

How does just a gun in your waistband feel? There are minimal options that give you trigger cover and abrasion protection but aren't traditional holsters. For little guns, the Remora holster works great, I carried one 3yrs straight and never had issues, a belt is necessary though. Some of the cheaper holsters are most comfortable but lack high quality for long term use. The uncle mikes and blackhawk neoprene holsters are minimal and soft and perfectly acceptable. The holster is just one part of the "concealed carry" equation. You must have a GOOD belt to go with it. I opted for the Ares Gear Aegis belt and love it, so much that it's replaced my other belts as my every day wear.

I paired the belt with a custom made AIWB-CDAII holster (can be worn appendix or crossdraw) from JRC Customs. Not cheap, but when teamed with the Ares belt it totally hides my H&K P30, even under a t-shirt, and is very comfortable. I currently have Jim making me a OWB SSA holster so I'll have to option of carrying either way. Jim's holsters are not cheap, but for the quality and performance you can't beat them IMO.

Just my thoughts.... wish you luck in your quest.
