Colt 1908 Vest Pocket

Recommended Posts

You'll enjoy it immensly. I had a much later Bauer Stainless Steel ieteration of it I didn't have the good sense to keep. With your particular gun its important to remember it built more on the lines of a Swiss watch. IOW it's tough but have a care with its springs...

They shoot great for what they are. I can't hit a barn standing in the hallway with a Colt Jr., but was quite surprised at the accuracy of the Vest Pocket model.

Probably because by the time the Jrs came about, they were manufacturing a foreign design under the colt name.

I was watching bigdaddyhoffmann on YouTube and the groups he shot with his were extremely good for the minimal sights the gun provides.

You'd be surprised at how accurate the .25ACP can be. I had a Beretta 950 that was scary accurate from a rest. Actually .25 Caliber rifles are also quite accurate as well.

Buy a set of replica grips at a gun show for about twenty five bucks and put them on when shooting gun as your original

grips are in very nice shape but will crack because of age (very brittle) and have seen original grips go for over a hundred.

How did I find this out? I shot and broke mine.

Thanks for that piece of advice! I hate you had to learn the hard way.
