Speed loader use in HCP class?

Recommended Posts

My opinion (which is worth what you are paying for it) is that it would be in the way (unless you are shooting at an indoor range with a platform in front of you).

There was plenty of time to reload mags in the class I went to. Shouldn’t be a problem if it’s someone that has problems loading a mag; of course I’m sure it’s up to the instructor.

When I took the class we shot 5 rounds at a time, no more, no less.

It was for the ones shooting revolvers, so there was an empty chamber at all times under the hammer.

Us shooting semis racked once we were at the target.

So are some classes shooting more than 5 at a time?

Well, except for folks with 5 shot revolvers, like the most popular ones for carry. :)

Also, how does it guarantee that the hammer is over an empty chamber just because folks are told to put 5 in a 6 shooter?

With help from the guys putting on the training, now most of us had semi auto pistols, IIRC only one guy had a 6 shot revolver.

Just took the class last week we did 5 sets of 10 rounds.  I doubt there would have been a problem using a speed loader.  I was shocked they were using .22lr to take the test.

Thanks
