The SKS is a Russian rifle designed with communist conscripts and peasants in mind. Perhaps a bit more complex than the AK, but still fairly simple. Take it apart and start over.

I have only had an occasional sighting so far. Not much going on here.

The OP had asked for "thoughts on 9mm 1911 for EDC" and I, as well as others, responded about Commander size 1911s in 9mm as well as in .45 ACP. A full size 1911 in 9mm is a very pleasant handgun to shoot. S&W SW1911 Pro Series 9mm With the right high ride/close tuck holster, reasonably loose clothing, and care they can be acceptably discreetly concealed and carried. Cheers James

Just finished cleaning my Yugo. Now I can’t get the trigger to work. Not sure if I damaged the trigger group or botched the reassembly. Used a few you tube videos for guiding the process and everything seemed straight forward. Massive success on the cosmoline removal. Now just let down that the operational test failed.

I suppose this answers the age-old question: Does a wild bear fit in the woods?

So, I know that the Springfield XD can be converted from .40 S&W to 9mm with a simple upper and magazine change. Is this the same for the Smith & Wesson M&P series? More specifically, I'm asking regarding the M&P 40c to 9c.

I set off on my motorsickle this morning to ride to Cookeville to play some racquetball, as I do most every Monday. I wasn't too far from home when I crested a hill and there stood a big ol' black bear in the road. I stopped 75 feet or so from him. I was on a black bike with a black helmet, and he may have mistaken me for another bear, as he took a few steps in my direction. Let me tell you, guys, a black bear looks a lot different when you're sitting on a motorbike than it does when you're inside your pickup truck. Especially when he seems to have no particular concern about your presence. I've been close to bears in the woods a few times, but I always had a rifle or a bow in-hand. But I tootled my horn and flashed the high beams at him and he decided he wanted no part of me and headed into the woods that border the road. (The Catoosa Wildlife Area) It's amazing how hard they are to see once they're in the woods. I looked hard as I rode past where he left the road, and didn't see a thing.

Oh man. Do you have anything from Martin in Florence, Alabama? I grew up an hour from there and a Martin piece is my current white whale.

Dude! You can't just end a story like that! We need closure on that anecdote!

I spray it with yellow cap oven cleaner and leave it in a plastic bag overnight. Steel wool then takes everything off with little effort.
