Yep I have a Gerber Para straight edge and it has been fine. It was $20 bucks at Walmart. I also have a Gerber Gator skin or some such that is half serrated. I have used both for a long time. I do not like Gerbers Multitool blades though. They are quite thin. I do not use it for anything besides the occasional packaging, 550 cord, envelope, etc cuts though.

I guess they can crucify both of us lol.

I was going to say the same thing about the function check although I dont think it was that fast. It is going to depend on the rifle though really. A brand new rifle wont take down as easily as a well worn one obviously.
