Since you live in Jackson, you should go to Parkway Gun and Pawn. They have a big selection of new and used guns and are knowledgeable. I've done some business with them and they've been very, very nice to deal with. They also have the best prices in Jackson and, I imagine, in West Tn. as well.

It looked like the same location on the map. When I knew it, it was a 300 yard rifle range. It has probably all grown up with vegetation these past 30 years and they are only using the front part of the old range.

I am pretty sure that that is the old rifle range. When I joined the National Guard way back in 1967 that was where we would go once a year to requalify with the M-1, then the M-14. There was a pit area that had targets on frames that the pit crew would raise and lower by hand and also record the hits. I haven't been there for,maybe, thirty years. WOW!!

The best gun shop in our area (IMHO) is Parkway Gun and Pawn in Jackson. They have the best prices in the area and are very, very friendly and knowledgeable. For example, awhile back I bought a couple of Glock magazines and Pearce extensions for them. They insisted that they would install them at no charge. It took them less than a minute to do it and it would have probably taken me 30 minutes. They are located on North Parkway just east of Royal St. and west of F. E. Wright Drive. They have a great selection of new guns as well as the usual used ones.

It sounds like a sweet deal if that is really what you want.

First thing to do is decide(let your wife tell you) where you will put the safe. Then decide what size will go where you want it. Then find the best safe you can afford. I had to put mine in an extra bedroom walk-in closet. That was fine except the closet had a 24" door on it, so after I took the doorjams off, I got a 23" deep safe in there. Gander Mtn. runs specials on theirs and if you apply for their credit card they take another 10% off. That's what I did. The only thing that I didn't do when the safe guy delivered it, was have it anchored to the slab. I wish now that I had. Good luck with your hunt.

I bought the Crossbreed SuperTuck and it has become my favorite holster. It retains well and is comfortable all day. I haven't tried the MTAC, but it gets good reviews as well.

I've been into other things this summer, and didn't hear about your experiences with the Glock 19. Did it just not work out?
