Failure to Feed in Glock 27 - please help
PackinMama replied to PackinMama's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I heard that there is sometimes a problem with the mag followers.....the numbers on mine are 5's......on Glocktalk many people say you should replace them with #8's. Anyone know anything about this? -
Failure to Feed in Glock 27 - please help
PackinMama replied to PackinMama's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Diane, I already ordered two new magazines and asked them to install the +1 extensions on them......too late to change my order now, so I guess I will try out the new ones when they arrive and see how they work. I talked to a Glock technical rep today before I ordered them and he recommended the pearce brand to me. Urse said he is going to mail me his pearce extensions with no extra capacity....so I think I will install them on the two mags that I had problems with today and see how they work. I was reading on the GlockTalk forum and I didn't find anyone on there that had problems with the plus capacity extensions.....so I don't know The new mags I ordered are fully metal lined and the ones that came with my gun are not....maybe there will be a difference with that Something you would probably like for your G26 that I also ordered today is a Hogue Jr. grip. I have a Hogue grip on my G23 and I love the it.....the feel is really nice and it helps cushion the recoil too. You should check out Lonewolfdist.com.....they have them on there....along with a lot of other Glock accessories. -
Failure to Feed in Glock 27 - please help

Like I said.....I really like the extra groove to put my pinky finger....but if these extensions are going to cause failure to feeds.....I can live without them. I've shot over 10,000 rounds through a first generation Glock 17, and about 5000 through my Glock 23 with not one failure of any kind in either gun. These two failure to feeds today in my new G27 really have me bummed out. I want to start carrying this weapon as my primary carry gun.....but I need to be able to rely on it. -

Failure to Feed in Glock 27 - please help
PackinMama posted a topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I just recently purchased a gently used Glock 27. I was told it had less than 50 rounds fired through it and it looks brand new. It came with two factory Glock magazines, one with a pearce +1 extension and one with a +2. I fired 80 rounds through it so far. During my shooting session today, I had a failure to feed twice, one in each magazine.....and with two different brands of cheap fmj 180 gr. bullets. The first time it happened, it was in the mag with the +2 extension and it was the last bullet.....the slide locked back like it was empty, but it had one more bullet in the mag......I manually brought the slide back and then the bullet fed into the chamber. The second time it happened it was in the +1 mag.....and it was my last three rounds that I loaded into it.......the slide was locked back, I put the mag in and pressed the button (please forgive me for not knowing the exact word for this "button" ) for the slide to go forward and it didn't go....so once again I manually brought the slide back and it then fed into the chamber. So, can any of you Glock experts on here tell me what might be wrong? And for all you Glock haters out there, please don't tell me I shouldn't have bought a Glock -

Mars, I don't recall in that radiator thread ever saying anything about religion or God. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that statement. I think abortion is a matter of ethics. Don't you think abortion is a subject that "may be as easily considered by an atheist as a religious person?" I for one do. I have to agree with ReefBlueCoupe on what he said too. I also think that the abortion issue was a much more relevant discussion than this ridiculous thread. I don't think it was right of you to threaten to make those posts disappear. Just my .02.

Hey Marswolf.......I thought this was a gun board ......here's a quote by you that's in the stolen radiator thread....."If this turns into a religio-centric thread, posts will disappear. Hey folks, it's a gun board, not a religion board." I guess it's ok for the Super Moderator to get off subject as long as it's an issue that matters to him.....just not ok for the rest of us folks? Am I wrong or isn't that why there's an "off topic" section on here? BTW, I also believe in rescuing dogs vs. buying them. If more people would spay/nueter their pets, we wouldn't have such a problem with all these unwanted dogs/cats.

I apologize for getting a little heated about the abortion thing guys.....I think I took what was said a little out of context. That's just a very touchy subject with me. Thank you for claryfying the point you all were actually trying to make......I read the comments over and now see where you were going with what you were saying Now.....back to the the subject of when using deadly force is justified......... I'm certainly not defending thieves in any way.....stealing is wrong and should be punished to the fullest extent of the law....but IMHO, it's not a crime that should be punishable by death. I've been a victim of thievery several times, and in all cases have never wished them dead. Definitely wouldn't have minded beating the crap out of them though

Brian, good to see that you're opposed to abortion too.....you had me worried there When I was pregnant with my son, I knew (or at least had a feeling) within a week. When I started being able to feel him kick, move around, hiccup.......it was absolutely amazing.......to know and feel that I had a living person growing inside me.....it was very obvious that he was ALIVE in there. I just can't understand people that don't believe that life begins at conception

Wow!!! Marswolf, You actually think it's ok to shoot someone for just stealing your property?? I don't want to p.o. a Super Moderator ......but I think your the one with your head up your butt. I'm pretty sure most of the responsible gun owners on this forum would agree that using your weapon is only justifiable if life was in clear and present danger. Anyone care to back me up here??
-
Len, you are absolutely right. Here's an idea that might help......I think we should have a special womens section on this forum to try to get more women into shooting and talking about gun issues. All the guys could try to get their wives/girlfriends/female friends and family members on here.....between me, TNDixieGirl, Gun&Dobes, and the rest of the girls on here, we might be able to get a few more women on our side!!! Just a thought.....maybe you could run it past Tungsten?? LMAO! Hey Dixie, what do you think about having a special womens section on here?

Just saw the ad and thought I'd let everyone know. There's a Gun Show in Knoxville Feb. 23-24 at the Jacobs Building in Chilhowee Park, 3301 Magnolia Ave. Sat. 9-5 Sun. 9-4. Info # (563)927-8176. Anyone on here going?

Apology accepted Canyn.....thank you for seeing my point

Just because abortion is legal, does that make it right? Are you guys telling me that you agree with the laws that our ****ed up legal system makes??? Doesn't appear that way to me when we talk about the gun laws on this forum.
