  1. The PT92 would actually be more accurate and easier to shoot... Congrats on getting the ball rolling though! Your guardian angel will be grateful for a little backup.
  2. Welcome from Tullahoma.
  3. Welcome to TGO!
  4. Merged 3 GSG-5 threads...

    Walther PPS

Merged the 6 Walther PPS threads...
  6. I'd suggest a revolver, perhaps a Taurus or Charter Arms.
  7. ...and finally, mean looks.
  8. Welcome to TGO. Check out the event we're having this weekend at On-Target in Murfreesboro, a bunch of us will be there. Meeting beforehand to eat at Red Robin, 11:30a.
  9. I suspect that the CZ will become more and more popular over the next few years... all of the reviews seem positive. I'd say, get what you want.
  10. Slide locked back prematurely is rarely a magazine issue... not unless the feed-lips are so bent to one side that the cartridges interact with the slide stop. If the same thing happens when somebody else shoots the gun, then worry about the gun... if not, then it's your thumb pushing up under the slide stop under recoil.
  11. Only if you don't have internet access. (type of wall really doesn't matter... I think even cardboard will stop Airsoft rounds)
  12. Few people make rational decisions when they are angry. These folks have every justification to be angry... but that doesn't make them right.
  13. Yes and no. The gun was fun as all getout to shoot, but so is any pistol-caliber carbine... The problem was that the gun was very unreliable. I tried everything to get it working... mags, tweaking the springs and extractor, rigorous cleaning... but once it got warm and a little dirty (it doesn't take more than a few shots to get a blowback firearm dirty), it consistently became a single shot. They are very cheaply made (the hammer is plastic, if that tells you anything). I won't buy another one.
  14. I'm sure that the heavier .357sig loads will penetrate pretty far, 147gr and the like... but none of them would come close to a 200gr hardcast out of a 10mm.
  15. Heh. That's what I thought... just playing along man
  16. .77" vs. .82" width really doesn't sound like a huge difference... I'm very interested to see how it fares in terms of reliablity. If the Ruger has better fit and finish than the Kel-Tec (which frequently needs some fluffing and buffing), then it should be a winner regardless of the small price difference.
  17. Sounds like fun... plus, once the vehicle is thoroughly demolished, it can be hauled to a scrap-yard and sold for $6-$7 per hundredweight.
  18. Bump. Hope a bunch make it! Feb 23rd @ 11:30 @ Red Robin in the 'boro, range time to follow.
  19. 10mm will certainly carry more energy at any range, and both have similar trajectories within their projectile-weight range. Against a mountain lion, I'd take a 10mm if I could... but I have no doubt that a .357sig (or any of the other major calibers) would get the job done if you place your shots well. I'd recommend FMJ, for best penetration.
  20. I've heard that the trigger pull is quite good once the packing grease is cleaned out of it, and the trigger breaks in after a few range trips. I don't doubt it. Ruger seems to be getting on-the-ball with regard to useable defensive weapons.
  21. ...and on that note, this one is done.
  22. Perhaps a few of our legislators lost some money on a few baseball games...
