  1. They made an 18.5" M590? You sure it's not a 500?
  2. Shooting somebody else in the head, or being shot in the head by somebody else would be the more likely concern...
  3. I've had many flavors...
  4. I'd rather be shot in the foot than in the head... may be an even simpler way to put it.
  5. The local Ruby Tuesday's here in Tullahoma has Fat Tire on draft... 'tain't bad.
  6. Sure, let 'em loose here... gimme a call and I'll bring the BBQ, beer & ammo. We'll make a day of it!
  7. Well, since one of the 4 rules is to know what you're shooting, and what is beyond it... it's up to you to recognize what surface you are standing on, and whether any body parts are in the way... but it is impossible to know where the bullet may go if the muzzle is up. At least there is some aspect of control when you conciously keep your muzzle at a surface which can absorb the shot. A surface which may ricochet isn't a good choice, though, indeed.
  8. Congrats! Thanks for stickin' with us.
  9. I've fondled all of the guns at Hero-Gear... Does that mean I'm a gun-slut?
  10. Makes me want to build a tactical, short-barrelled black-powder muzzle-loader...
  11. If it's a question of abiding by their (flawed) rules, or parting company... I think the choice is clear. They are under no obligation to listen to reason, and I have no desire to give it to those who apparently have such a low opinion of others'. Did somebody say Gallatin Gun Club?
  12. Most pump shotguns have at least a bit of rattle... Mossbergs are probably the worst though. If you want silent, I'd have to suggest a semi-auto.
  13. Generally, the heaviest projectiles of a proven design which will expand/deform are the better choice. Lighter bullets tend to underpenetrate unless they fail to expand.
  14. If I want to bother saving the cartridge, to reload in the gun, I turn the gun over towards the ejection port, pointing the gun in a safe direction, cup my hand over the port as I retract the slide and lock it back. Otherwise, I just rack it out and pick it up later.
  15. http://www.98bravo.com/ Site says available in 2009. So, it'll be at least a few months. Looks very cool though.
  16. ...unless you want to pay to have a USC converted.
  17. Dan Wesson Bobtail or Razorback. Look no further.
  18. I was thinking more 'nation of islam', than anything...
  19. That's not bad... a drop in the bucket, actually, compared to the ammo cost I bet.
  20. Louis Farrakhan endorses Obama, as well... just a coincidence though...
  21. What about the SWAT monkey? Wiley-Xs and a handful of poo to fling, perhaps?
  22. D-A-S, if I had your number I promise that I'll simply send you a text message: "azz in jl hlp plz" ...and I very seldom foreward dirty video clips. Whadda'ya say? Can we be BFFs? Heh. Good advice though... the only thing worthy of mention is that you were in fear for your life, and you want to be checked out for injury/shock. The investigator can wait.
