  1. The company is old, but none of the designers or their pistol are that old Here ya' go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilhelm_Bubits
  2. They were designed by a few disgruntled ex-Glock engineers, as I understand... Basically, they are simply an improved Glock. Nearly identical internals, but the gun actually has good ergonomics and excellent sights.
  3. I saw a horse the other day that had a wierd horn growing out of it's head... I was going to take a picture, but it flew away The noise could have been made by any number of animals... and it's not impossible for it to have been a large feline of some kind.
  4. The Thanksgiving turkey is a pretty sure bet. Other than that, I'm sure Obama will make up for it by pardoning everyone in Guantanamo, plus Osama, Moussaoui, etc...
  5. Oh he'll raise taxes until he can afford to deliver... no doubt about that. It's a shame that the majority of taxpayers are not the same group as the majority of voters. If that was the case... this country wouldn't be hurting so bad for real leaders.
  6. The worst case scenario would be to end up living like a sheep... especially when the new shepherd has a taste for mutton.
  7. The scenario you described is just as valid for an armed non-LEO. You are not the only one with a 'moral code', sir... The point is simply that the law does not recognize either of our 'moral codes' as an authority... it simply sets forth specific limitations which are largely similar, as Fallguy is pointing out. The only exception is when you are on-duty and acting in an official capacity. Pointing that out is not 'disrespect' or 'indignation'. All responsible civilians (yes, LEOs are civilians) should be able to carry anywhere they have a right to be... not some kind of class-structured double-standard based on a person's profession (which is ludicrous, when you stop and think about it).
  8. That was alot of fun... Esp shooting the pumpkin in the pond. Sorry we couldn't stay longer, but the pictures are awesome!
  9. I am going to reenact Niel Patrick Harris' role in "Harold & Kumar go to White Castle".
  10. What time does it start?
  11. G-A has always done me right... and it's nice to support a somewhat-local business.
  12. Apparently you're rich if you aren't complaining about how somebody has more than you, and you want it taken away from them to be given to you.
  13. I expect that guns are a low enough priority to the next administration that it will be a bit before they get to it... Nobody's coming to knock on your door anytime next year, I'd venture to say. But, based on the 'Best Defense is a Good Offense' premise... decisive resistance should occur before that knock on the door, actually. Not being there would be more like 'living to fight another day'. Either way. I hope everyone chooses to meet whatever comes on their own terms.
  14. It isn't?
  15. Sounds like it's more of a sear jumping problem than a firing-pin rebound problem, since they are replacing the hammer. Ouch, 0 for 2 on the new pistols, Ruger... That's dissapointing. Sounds like they are doing everything they can to make it right though. Whatever happened with the SR-9 stuff, are they even still making them?
  16. Oh yeah... almost forgot... have fired both barrels of a 12ga SxS simultaneously a few times, once with some mag loads. It sucked, but the blast was awesome.
  17. HAHAHA... ...
  18. Bobcat? They scream.
  19. I've only held one. It was the perfect size and balance for a compact .45. Quite impressive. Probably the best feeling M&P in the whole lineup.
  20. Every day when I get home I do 50 pushups, 50 crunches, 10-15 reps each arm w/ 50# dumbell, jog on the treadmill for 10-15 min, and then repeat that all a couple times until failure. It's not an especially diverse workout, but I end up feeling pretty good for only about 30-45min of time invested.
  21. Problems with .357sig? That's news to me. What reports did I miss?
  22. It's sad... Hickory Hollow was a nice place to shop 10 years ago. What's even sadder is that they are still trying to salvage 100 Oaks Mall... an even more deplorable hell-hole.
  23. Most likely it will fire... Wouldn't depend on it though.
  24. Last night... I drank it all. There's none left. All gone. Sorry.
