  1. The 10mm is pretty much the most powerful cartridge for semi-autos which is still controllable in the hands of a competent shooter, to wield for self-defense. Standard loads aren't any more punishing than .45acp, and hot loads aren't horrible either (unless you think .38spl +p out of an airweight J-frame has unreasonable recoil, too). 10mm is to .40s&w what .357sig is to 9mm. It's a bit more 'umph' for a bit more cost and recoil.

Maybe, except then you'd just have a Beretta with an esstended clip... (the XD-M magazine is standard length)
  3. Don't drink the water in Davidson County... (or, I guess I should say, don't use it to make your kool-aid)

I vowed to trade my old XDs in for a 9mm XD-M. Looking forward to it.
  5. I already had an XD-9 Tactical, so I got an XD-9 SubCompact for carry.
  6. The instructor was trying to make a funny, and the guy didn't get it.
  7. The money saved on taxes for aid every year would easily pay for a passport, I bet... "Chocolat' Ville" anyone?
  8. Can we give Louisiana back to France?
  9. So far I have, on half of that.

    AR57?

Good to finally see another source of ammunition for this caliber. Very cool.

    AR57?

Pretty cool, if you just need an excuse to shoot that caliber.
  12. Saw a movie called 'Doomsday' the other day... it was quite entertaining.
  13. Yep. OC is pretty much a non-issue, unlike what most would have us believe. Still... try to keep the temper in check, that goes all the time but especially when carrying (visibly or not).
  14. I just shoot at everybody elses' targets.
  15. Buy a quality pistol (Sig, H&K, etc...), and a few cases of ammo.
  16. Best place to go will be Hero Gear. Huge selection. Worth the drive.
  17. I have a BSA somewhere in the back of a closet. Won't hold zero, and is difficult to see on a bright day.
  18. A 10mm XD, the same size as the XD-45 Compact.
  19. translate.google.com
  20. Supposedly, they will be offering a striker-fired version of the FNP in the future (at least that was the word regarding the FNP-45). In my opinion, that would make the G21 and XD45 irrelevant to all but die-hard brand loyalists.
  21. The only useful information I ever got from P. Diddly was that Burger King is open until 2am. (And I tell you what, a Triple Whopper and a few beers late at night will make you need to take a massive 'Diddy' when you wake up...)
  22. The #1 way to destroy a hard-drive: Install Windows.
  23. I've shot an FNP-9... it was impressive enough for me to buy an FNP myself (the .45acp model). Great SA trigger pull, excellent sights, good ergonomics, low recoil, and the price is right.
  24. If the object is cheap shooting, a .22lr conversion might be more practical... but the 9mm and .38super guns are great for competition. I have no experience tuning a 9mm 1911, but I have fired a few, and they were delightful.
