  1. Gotcha... I must have just found the Custom Shop, which I guess is different.
  2. Based on their menu on the site, it appears that you supply your own pistol to be upgraded/finished by them...
  3. I think the fellow who ran off the cliff should have earned a bit higher ranking... How do you do that?
  4. I don't own a gun-shop, but from my perspective there are 4 categories of people I have met, who may potentially enter a gun-shop... those who I would trust with firearms under any conceivable circumstance (firing over my shoulder, with a monkey on their head, etc...), people who I trust with firearms under controlled circumstances (range, or their gun holstered), people who I don't even trust with sharp objects (uh... I've got somewhere else to be, c'ya later), and people who I would actively target with my own weapon if they had one (bangbangbang)... Since a gun-shop owner can't know, or fully control the types of people coming in and out of their establishment, it's really up to the shop owner to decide whether a blanket rule is more appropriate than individual attention. I think location has alot to do with this decision, since a shop in the (whatever your preferred slang is for the bad part of town) would make for a more stressful situation... Personally, if a business owner doesn't trust me with a loaded firearm, sign or not, they probably don't know me very well... that's no fault of theirs, but I naturally prefer to take my business to those whom I already have a relationship with. ( Joe).
  5. Some guns just don't like to feed certain ammo, no rhyme or reason... Definetly try polishing the feed-ramp, but also take the advice about carrying FMJ ammo into consideration. JHP .380 ammo just doesn't perform well. Try the 102gr Remington Golden Sabres if you do want JHPs, though.
  6. Had a good meal tonight, courtesy of musicman & his wife... bbq chicken & wings. good stuff! Thanks!

I don't care to eat them unless I had to... kudos to our boys (& gals) living on them while we indulge in burgers and hot-wings. I don't mind the packs of crackers & cheese spread too much, if I had my pick.
  8. Reason doesn't work with them. We get more headway by claiming to be an oppressed special-interest group.
  9. And on top of that, the intelligent people are so busy working that they rarely get around to having kids themselves... because we are paying into the machine which enables dirtbags to breed like rabbits on the government's dime. Idiocracy, great movie...
  10. Well, if background checks on the buyer at the point of sale are reasonable, so are checks on the person who deals them. There are reasons for and against, I suppose. I'll be interested to see what else this bill contains... In point of fact, felons probably shouldn't be working a gun counter. But, it should realistically be up to the employer to make that call.
  11. I think if France was attacked from behind they would enjoy it, and Spain would try to get in on the action for sure.
  12. It's also good to know beforehand who would be a good ally... ya don't have to be prepared for everything, just know somebody who has what you don't, and vice-versa. The end of the world isn't going to be a one-man/woman show for anybody. For less catastrophic events... yeah, it's good to have a first-aid kit, some water and maybe canned goods stowed away. (and, of course, Axe body-spray, for those close encounters)
  13. I just figure that's what BHO means by 'change'...
  14. Firefox logs me in automatically.
  15. I've come to the conclusion that there's absolutely no way to be properly prepared for the world to end, in a material way... but I sure wish it would already. I do have some Axe body-spray though.
  16. I carry... and sometimes I do go to church. So, yes.
  17. I had a chicken sammich and a chocolate shake...
  18. That was probably the worst way to word the sign... well, I suppose they could have just come out and said: "We claim full liability for the safety of our patrons, therefore by entering this establishment you forfeit all responsibility for your own well-being." Why don't they just put up a sign that says: "Criminals Prohibited", that makes more logical sense... and I'm sure would be just as effective, but at least it wouldn't inconvenience me.
  19. Between those 3, I'd opt for the S&W... but I'd really prefer a Dan Wesson.
  20. Love the 'Axe body-spray' in the list... He's ready for anything...
  21. If I had my pick, I'd stake out a plot somewhere in the hills of E. Tn...
  22. Well, this is more like an F150 with assembled by BMW, with a BMW emblem on it... Still, very nice though.
  23. I keep mine stoked with Federal 00 Buck, but I've got a few boxes of Federal T-shot (just slightly smaller than #4 buck) which would be good for very close quarters, or for 4-legged pests. Keep some Federal 1oz rifled slugs around, too. But, there's always a full mag-tube of the buckshot in the gun.
  24. Dowel in the barrel with the action closed, yes. Most of the time you can buy a replacement barrel in the length you desire, without having to mutilate the original. Shotgun barrels are easy to swap out (except for some of the old screwed-in ones, such as early S&W, etc...) www.e-gunparts.com usually has a pretty good selection.
  25. Wasn't real impressed by the Moss 930, once I actually held and examined one... haven't heard many good things about their reliability either.
