Murfreesboro DUI Checkpoint Video Making its Way Across the Web
wewoapsiak replied to wewoapsiak's topic in General Chat
Out of the all the arguing on reddit, this is my favorite quote: It's unfortunate that things like this happen, but a uniform doesn't mean automatic respect anymore; and the good ol' boys should learn this. A simple search of youtube can give you a reason not to trust a police officer. Every cornhole with a cell phone can easily take a video and upload something, if you're a ####ty cop you're going to get caught eventually. Did the kid go looking for trouble? Maybe. But that doesn't excuse the officer's actions, then again not everyone can be like these guys: http://youtu.be/xq_RvJ7CtOw http://youtu.be/G1CjZN2H5-8 -
"Man, this guy loves his Xbox." Oh wait, :wall: I'm a big dummy.

http://youtu.be/w-WMn_zHCVo There is quite the argument about it on reddit right now, both for and against the police. If he'd had rolled his window down it would have been a moot point. But are we required to roll our windows down all the way? The quotes at the end of the video, if true, are disturbing. What are the rules in Tennessee regarding checkpoints like this? http://www.courthousenews.com/2013/07/03/59061.htm The story is written poorly, but it looks like the police didn't really care what the homeowners thought about them using their house. They were going use it without a warrant no matter what. Here are the case files on archive if anyone would rather read these. Crappy cops are in the news a lot lately, but I can't make heads nor tails of this. How hard would it have been for the department to get a warrant?

When we first started dating, my fiancee did this and apparently I came up swinging. She now makes sure she shakes my foot to wake me before she comes nearer. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

That's a good strategy, give it a year and both companies will come out with a slim or special edition that somebody will just have to have. Then you can pick up a slightly used one. I don't see Sony or Microsoft fading away from either of these consoles support wise though. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

Sony may be requiring PS+ membership for online play, but it's $50 vice $60 per yer for the Xbox gold. And this is going to be for multiplayer only, not for streaming services like Netflix. The "we'll allow the developer to decide" part of whether or not the free to play multiplayer games are behind the paywall is a little worrysome, but I guess we'll see how that works out. But the PS+ will allow you access to hundreds of free games via the instant game archive, and they've been giving away premium games left and right. Most importantly, Yoshida put out that the $$$ from PS+ will go directly into improving the PS network, so if it improves the quality of my online experience I'm ok with it. I've paid Microsoft for years to play online multiplayer and getting jack squat in return, Sony requiring it for the PS4 isn't going to sway my decision on abandoning ship.

Not Wal-Mart, but not worth starting a new thread. Gander Mountain in Turkey Creek has at least 30 350-rd Blazer Brass 9mm for $120, and around 6 1000-rd packs of Federal .223 for $600. Not "deals", but if you're in need it's there. .223 is behind the counter. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

Here are some photos from reddit of people and the guns they saved from a police buyback. Apparently the police were offering a $100 grocery gift card for semi-autos only; and nothing for bolt action, pump action, or single shot. People always talk on here about how they should go to buybacks and offer cash, but I never hear about people going. Colt Python, $120 Marlin Model 60 -$80, CBC Model 215 -$20

Makes sense.

This is from a gun counter guy from another walmart, so you take it however you like. The stopped selling firearms at the Walker Springs walmart because it wasn't worth the money to keep renewing their ffl every year. Since West Knoxville is the supposed snoody part of Knoxville, people would rather go to somewhere like Gander Mountain to buy their firearms at a premium. Because, everyone knows walmart sells chinise knockoffs, right?

Whistle blowers say all U.S. Citizens targeted (Democracynow.org) Obama Administration defends NSA NSA Slides on how PRISM collection program works. Take note of the slide that shows the dates that PRISM starts monitoring each tech giant Boehner Declines to Explain the need for PRISM. T-Mobile doesn't provide info. (States this halfway down page) Long day of reading, saved up some links. It is ironic how this all comes out after the Xbox One was announced. If you don't know, the XBO requires an internet connection at least once a day, and requires kinect connected in order to even work. The new kinect has a camera / microphone that is supposedly always one so you can turn your XBO on just by saying so. Everyone said people were crazy when it was said this would be a good way to spy on people, Microsoft might not have intended it that way, but I'm sure the NSA or other 3 letter organizations are trying to figure out a way to use it for their benefit. :tinfoil: :panic: :tinfoil:
