1. Not speaking for his issue with them, but a certain gen of pmag doesn't drop free for me, you have to yank them out.
2. So if I put http://i.imgur.com/TBA9msQ.jpg where the "INSERT..." I get the above.
3. Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
4. Oh lord, I'll start saving now.  I haven't even got to build of the first set yet!
5. This is why:   It was, according to this witness, a mixed bunch of hoodlums going for whoever they can find. http://wreg.com/2014/09/07/witness-reacts-to-violent-attack-at-kroger/
6. Like R_Bert said, they're color blind.  A study was done in the 90s that states they are more specifically red-green color blind, so if your laser was red they probably didn't notice but a grey blob.  This video starting at around 6:30 starts talking about the science of a deer's eye, Part 2 goes into the color part.
7. This guy does a lot of testing on security cameras, while it won't tell you which you need exactly it can provide you with some good information; especially if you read though the comments sections.   http://www.networkcameracritic.com/   Edit:  Funny enough, he has a similar eye thingy as my profile picture.  I'm not affiliated with the website.
8. Thanks guys! I guess I'll just be on the lookout for symptoms of it over time and not wait to go shoot them when I can.
9.
Sitting in a parking lot a Knoxville PD car rolls up. They ask what I'm doing. I inform them I'm a CPL holder and say I'm waiting for a friend to call. They ask me to step out of the vehicle and pat me down very gently. Officer asks what type of pistol (Ruger LCP) and if he can see it. I say yes (mistake) he retrieves it from my glove box and starts to unholster it pointing the barrel my general direction. I say I do not consent to any serial number searches. The whole demeanor of the conversation changes. Officer 2 becomes agitated asks all these questions I don't want to answer. I ask " Am I being detained or am I free to go?" Officer 2 says "Yes", officer 1 shouts "NO, you're free to go" I get in my car and drive away, they tail me all the way out of Knoxville. I filled a complaint to their CO about unsafe firearm handling. He got back to me in an hour and said he would review the tapes (doubtful) but he sounded somewhat concerned. TLDR Bored cops + knowing your right and what to say makes for a night that could have give much worse. EDIT: After sleeping on it I'm going to submit a FOIA, get the tapes (if possible) and at minimum learn from my mistakes. My lawyer friend wants a took too.
Funny enough, this was on reddit tonight. Internet lawyers in the comments are the best. http://www.reddit.com/r/guns/comments/2ds3bi/am_i_being_detained_or_am_i_free_to_go_just_saved/
10. I recently got a wild hair about a few older rifles, and I picked up a Chinese SKS from a friendly local gentleman and have an O-PAP from Buds on the way. With one being "a good shooter" and one being "new" from the importer, would it be a good idea to get a go / no go set? It's my first adventure with any rifle other than an AR and a 10/22, so I'm curious what y'all think.
11. Link It is a neat idea. Would be cool to have enough dough to drop one of their tribute rifles, such as the Eagle Scout one and have the serial as your board date.
12. I agree with everything except you getting in your car and riding off.  I would have at least stayed long enough to make sure you weren't needed as a witness.
13. You will quickly get used to hearing the sound of tasers going off, the people you sell them love to show them off. If it's busy and you're walking the middle aisles be prepared to be nuts to butt with some less than hygienic people. Oh, and you'll get a lovely viewing of our childhood obesity problem here I the states. All that aside, it really is an experience that I enjoy. I try to get out there whenever I'm not working, even if I'm not looking to buy anything.
14. Open vs Concealed carry, blah blah blah; you do what you want to do.  Some people just don't understand how to mind their own damned business when they go out and about, and want to make sure you're aware of their opinion.  I'm still amazed to know that someone actually carries using one of those versacarry things.
15. Chicken, pineapple, and bacon. BBQ sauce instead of pizza sauce.
16. I think SMKW was one of the larger supporters of the bill, IDK how large though. Link
17. Received mine today, I am most definitely eating crow about the design.  It looks awesome!   I bought two, one for the wife and I, but when she opened it we almost had to start a toe injury thread to go along with the finger one.  Maybe we'll wait for the small one for her...   I asked before if these knives came sharpened.  Apparently I've never owned a sharp knife in my life, because these things can cut.  Looking forward to future buys, thanks again.
18. Ruby, my 4 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback and her fat friend Nicki.
19. A couple of quotes from his Reddit AMA: ... Why isn't your website free for all kids? ... Is there any way it could be made available to all kids? Sent from the blue lagoon.
20. We pulled into Pearl a couple times, and I visited Maui once. Maui is really nice and laid back, if you were taking your family that included younger children I'd go there. If you a car and plan visiting the sites on Hana hwy, get insurance your rental; it gets tight. If you're wanting to do the Honolulu thing, rent a car or learn the bus routes because they rape you in cab fare. Waikiki is full of tourists and squids, it's not horrible but can be annoying I'd imagine if you're a family man. I'd stay on the north shore of Honolulu if that island is your choice, it's quieter and not a bad drive back to Waikiki. Hiking up diamond head is pretty. I really enjoyed the Atlantis submarine tours, taking an all-in-one hiking / biking / snorkeling tour, hiking some of the parks, and skydiving. If you've ever wanted to, skydiving over Hawaii is amazing and I'd recommend it even though it can be pricey. And go to a luau, they're touristy but pretty entertaining. The main tourist areas were safe, the back alley bars got a little dicey. Sent from the blue lagoon.
21. I'll play to the opposite end I guess. When I moved to Knoxville I got a rhodesian ridgeback. I've always been a videogaming apartment dweller, and after her first year she can be just as lazy as I am. I did get the puppy package at petsmart, and it saved me plenty. As an adult dog I only buy the adult package if I get a large vet bill for some reason. It just isn't worth it to me just for shots. For exercise I'll walk her, but I've been taking her to Pets-r-people-2 since she was 6 months old, and she doesn't need much more than that once a week. If you want her, can love and train her, and afford daycare on the occasion then I say get her. Sent from the blue lagoon.
22. I was stationed across the sound from Seattle. Three or four middle months of the year there it was beautiful with little rain, the rest of the time it was a mist that just annoyed the Hell out of you. I only remember seeing thunder storm there a handful of times, I actually started to miss thunder and lightning. Sent from the blue lagoon.
23. I would imagine if something illegal did happen, ie one of the boys goes to far or one of the girls decides later that he went to far, that whatever adult that took them to a secluded spot could be held accountable as well. But, I'm not a lawyer or a father; this thread just has a creepy old man vibe to it. Sent from the blue lagoon.
