  1.   Ha, yes.  Quite.
  2. My wife loves this show and I mostly tolerate it. Yes, William H. Macy plays his role excellent, but it's that there isn't a single character on this show with any redeeming qualities. The lead chick, Fiona, is incredibly hot, but I can't even enjoy that because she's such a morally bankrupt drama queen. The only character on this show I look forward to is Joan Cusack's.
  3. Oh c'mon. You know the answer to that question.
  4. If you want to get technical, yes, but that's how they're still referred to in popular culture, because Development Group doesn't sound as sexy. It's still the same thing.
  5. Why would you think that?
  6. They'll be fine. They're a double minority living in Colorado. The liberals are probably spilling their white mocha gluten free half caff lattes trying to give them free stuff.
  7. Yeah, this is crap. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. If my coworkers were getting extra breaks to pray to the moon gods, then I'm getting extra breaks to practice Pastafarianism. Also, Islam allows for make up prayer prior to or after missing regular prayers throughout the day if they were working, so the problem is manufactured BS.
  8. I get what you're saying, I just don't see the potential for slippery slope here. The only issue is listing their address. Not because I care about the safety of the felon, but if something does happen, they will sue the state and get a payday.
  9. Yeah, I wouldn't mind if they got around to those folks too. Of course, I have some pretty radical ideas on what should be done with violent offenders, and it isn't warm and cuddly.
  10. Fair enough. My attitude something along the lines of "f*** them", so I don't have an issue with it. If it were innocent people I would think differently. They're felons, and what happens to them is not something I care about. I wouldn't piss in their mouth if their teeth were on fire.
  11. It's not shaming; they are felons. That is a matter of public record. A registry doesn't make them more or less of a felon, nor does it magically free up information that is secret or compartmented. Every person has access to criminal records, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with making those records more convenient for the public to access. As for their life, I don't care. Not one bit. If you're convicted of a felony, especially if the crime was torturing a defenseless creature, you get to pay the consequences. There isn't an ounce of empathy toward people who do that. They made their bed and now they have to lie in it.
  12. Why? Shouldn't public records be easy to search? This isn't 1970. So many other public documents from every level of government are archived and searchable online. Why should criminal convictions be different? Because the crime they were convicted of? That's silly. Why on earth would it matter?
  13. This is for felony animal cruelty, not just kicking a puppy. I know the difference, because I had my neighbor convicted, but it was only a misdemeanor. You have to cross one hell of a scumbag line to get convicted of felony animal abuse. Comparing that to registries of gun owners or political parties isn't even in the same ballpark. Not even the same sport. These are people who were convicted of a felony. That's a big deal, and a matter of public record. If you commit a felony, I have a right to know. This just makes it easier to access the information.
  14. Perhaps having their address goes too far, if that's the plan. However, criminal convictions are a matter of public record. I think it should be this easy to look up any criminal, not just animal abusers. I realize that may be labor intensive to create and maintain an online database, so at least we can keep one on the biggest scumbags.
  15. They better hope that Putin doesn't let his troops off the leash.  What a joke.
  16. Tennessee ignored all that with their confiscations of cash roadside with no criminal charges.
  17.   50% of what you can do sets of 8-12 repetitions with.  I mean, that's a general estimation.  The idea is to ease into it rather than jumping right in at the max weight you can do a set with.  With lower weight to start you aren't risking injury by bad form or overdoing it.  A week or two with steadily increasing weight so you can really work on the proper form to do the exercises correctly and without injury is the point.  I see guys lifting with bad form all the time, and it's probably because they never did it at the lower weight to start in order to really focus on the exercise.  The result is not working the target muscle group properly and risk of injury.
  18.   Just do really low weight, like 50%, for the first couple of weeks to get your form down and muscles used to it.  Whenever introducing myself to a new exercise or am coming off an injury, I take it real easy to start and go from there.
  19. Anyone doing it this year?  I thought it might be fun to have a New Year's resolution thread and resurrect it this time next year to see how we did.  Mine is to run a marathon.  I've done it before, but I'm not as hard as I used to be.  I figured I'd set a goal like that so I can get back to feeling a little younger.   Who else has some self improvement planned in 2016?

    Tv Shows

Ahhhhh!!! I need this in my life! Lucy Lawless to boot! I was a huge fan of Brisco County Jr., although it didn't last long. Bruce Campbell is such a bad actor, he's good. That old trailer he's in looks like the one from My Name is Bruce. Yep, I own that movie.
  21. No 1911? That's the only REAL handgun, right? Just thought I'd help this thread along in the direction it's going.

Do what? As in critically acclaimed actor Bruce Campbell? He's got a TV show?

    Got The Fever

I will be buying one of these once manufacture starts meeting demand.
  24. I'll be selling a gun in February.  I will be selling it for more than what I paid for it, which means I will be making a profit.  If Congress wants to pass such a law preventing that, let them.  I'll follow that law, though I may disagree with it, and follow up at the ballot box to undo such a law.  If the POTUS issues an executive order which makes something illegal which was previously legal, I will go out of my way to defy that order.
