1. Yes. That's where I bought my blemished 350. Great prices and fast shipping.
2. After the gear change and larger tires, what are your plans with the truck? On-road? Off-road?
3. Looks good. I'd recommend upgrading the grip and stock, but this nothing more than a personal preference. I really like that low-riding optic, but it's too hard for me to get a good look-see without it riding a bit higher. I am going to play around with that on my current build.
4. I'm pretty certain my 14-year-old daughter hasn't been taught how to write in cursive by anyone other than myself. She claims they no longer teach them at school.
5.
Not to mention we have devices made in China that autocorrect or typing.
Our typing, too. :p
6. Yeah, the thumb stud is pretty useless, especially for those of us with fat fingers. I see no reason it couldn't have been moved out a bit. It's my only complaint with the 350. I prefer the flipper, so I don't even think about the lousy thumb stud.
7. $90? Weren't they $40 or $50 not long ago?
8. By the way, he bent the feed lips a bit, and it seemed to work fairly well after that.
9. A friend of mine had the same magazine issue, but only with certain ammo. When he used Federal HP's, the rounds would come out when he inserted the magazine.
10. Good choice of music. While appreciate the craftsmanship and talent it takes to do that level of engraving, it's not my thing.
11. I want this handguard, but with fill-length rails down each side. This is where my OCD kicks in; I find something that's almost perfect, but not quite.
12. I just want to try them out for the aesthetic. They are cheap enough to give a try.
13. By the way, what's the going rate for beginner photography classes?
14. I really want to get into photography, but I cant afford two high-dollar hobbies. I may need to give up on the guns. In the meanwhile, I just play with my phone.
15. In my experiences, the USPS delivers much faster. I've received several packages from California within 3 days via the USPS. UPS and FedEx seem to take far longer.
16. Those pictured above aren't the Gen 2? The link I took the picture from said they were Gen 2 - Mod 2. What do the Gen 2's look like?
17. Will do.
18.
The T series is a round rail. The DD is an "oval". An yes, the MI is a good rail. Maybe horse dick was a little harsh :) I shouldn't let it bug me, since it ain't on my rifle
I still love you, Mike. Gimme a sugar...
19.
We can play the money games all day. Unless you have held one in your hands, you may not see anything but the money. I got one and put it on my rifle. Then, I got two more. Has nothing to do with precision. Has everything to do with not having a heavy horse dick wrapped around my barrel :). I'm not dissing every other rail out there. Just saying that the DD rails have lots going for them that you ain't gonna see unless you pick one up. It's a Glock vs. Taurus argument.
There is a 0.2 oz. weigh difference in the two rails, so you're not paying significantly more for any noticeable weight savings. I've held more than a few DD rails, and the rain clouds didn't instantly part and make way for blue sky, rainbows and magically delicious marshmallows. I'm not saying they aren't nice or that I wouldn't buy one for a certain build, but I'm not convinced they are so much better to justify the price difference. For most of my builds, if they were the only company that had a rail design style that I was looking for, I would spend the money in a heartbeat. If, like in the OP's case, there were another very comparable and much cheaper option, I am more likely to think twice about spending the extra money. Again, much depends on the type of build I'm considering. And I'm still unsure what type of build the OP is after.
20. Yeah, shipping can be a little nuts. I was possibly needing something shipped to me from SiriusXM. They were adding taxes to the shipping cost. I didn't realize anyone did that. Heck, I didn't realize shipping could be taxed.
21. RIP, Mr. Billey.  :usa:
22. I've never been hunting, but I've never seen a deer quite that big around here.
23. That ain't from these parts, is it?
