  1. It's too bad that it won't see light of day or get resolved before the election, because between the Sherriff's investigation and this testimony, legally it would render every order and bill that Barry put ink on null and void. Sucks to be us right now.
  2. Maybe rattlesnakes get a religious exemption from being killed.
  3. Kittenger almost lost a hand to frostbite when the heating apparatus failed in one of his gloves.

  5. I know Joe Kittenger who holds the current record, friends of my parents. I saw a presentation with videos at an aviation seminar years ago, astounding accomplishment for its time. What's more, he made the jump six times. Stainless steel balls.
  6. Geez, I think I paid $185 for my Security Six back in 1978. I just ran that number through an inflation calculator, here's what I got (tack on the extra $39 for inflation in just the last 2 years): What cost $185.00 in 1978 would cost $611.32 in 2010.
  7. I once found a patch of yellow morels in a field on our former property, out in the bright sunlight. Almost ran over them with a walk behind bush hog. I'm told they're partial to the ground near hickory trees and sometimes tulip poplar. I've always had more luck finding oyster mushrooms in the winter months.
  8. I've been told otherwise from a few purveyors I've done business with over the years. They all said bourbon is done once bottled, but that scotch can still improve. All I know is that the 40 year old blended I sampled was transcendental.
  9. My father in law shared a bottle of very generic blended scotch that had been forgotten in his attic for 40 years. It had become world class. Buy a case of something like Clan MacGregor and forget about it for awhile.
  10. Looks like they've reinvented the Security Six frame, striking resemblance.

  12. Hey Tempest 455, A buddy of mine in Nashville took lessons from Danny Gatton, has a Telecaster that Gatton gave him. I saw him live with Buddy Emmons, the legendary pedal steel player, they did a record and tour called "Redneck Jazz Explosion". Serious stuff.
  13. And here's a talented chap from the UK, Jon Gomm....
  14. Gotta pass along a clip of my friend Keith Medley, who lives up in White House. He builds instruments, and built this 27 string guitar, took him 2 years to learn how to play it.
  15. There are a bunch of different forms of salt........ I wouldn't want to be your kidneys.
  16. Here's a condensed version of Stansberry's point of view from another source: http://www.wealthbuildingcourse.com/dollar-loses-reserve-currency-status.html An interesting point is where the article mentions oil being priced in dollars....the main reason that gas prices are going up right now is the Fed practicing "Quantitative Easing" which is a fancy term for prinitng worthless money to buy back treasury bonds. The currency markets are being flooded with dollars, and the increased number of dollars measured against available oil is basic division. If we lose reserve currency status, things could get messy. On the bright side, ammo will be a new form of currency.
  17. "Here's what I do, it's really not a big deal". Sounds like he's used the contractor bags before.
  18. " Does anyone know any good places to get salt in bulk while we still can ? " There's a Robert Orr/Cysco outlet store that sells commercial quantities of food items in Nashville, on Charlotte Ave about a half mile from White Bridge Road towards downtown. I'm sure they have other outlets around the state.
  19. I know of several PO's in the Nashville are that are in strip malls, common parking lots with retail businesses. Don't see how they could enforce it regardless, especially if you're just using a driveup mailbox.
  20. I'm 56 now, been registered to vote since 18 and have never missed an election. I haven't read this entire thread, but see it's evolved into an discussion about RP. I can't in good conscience vote for someone who thinks it's OK for Iran to have a nuke. Isolationism is not a viable foreign policy in this day and age, the genie is way too far out of the bottle for that. I do like his economic views, but that isn't enough in these times. FWIW, I voted for Perot and helped get Clinton elected, won't make that mistake again.
  21. "You have to abide by their laws regardless." Of course.....merely pointing out to OP who is brand new to concealed carry that the laws he recently learned pertaining to carrying here don't necessarily apply elsewhere, and to do his homework beforehand. And yes, there are many state who recognize TN permits without a formal reciprocity agreeement.
  22. Be mindful that when carrying in states that do have reciprocity with TN, you must abide by their carry restrictions. Also, a good idea to have print outs of the reciprocity agreements with you, because more than a few LEO's may not be aware of them.

  24. Welcome from another out of state immigrant (17 years back).
  25. Great price indeed, rivals what I paid for my dual tone model ($472). Enjoy!
