1. Uh huh...   That would be rather interesting to hear the story behind that one.
2. Pictures will be up as soon as the part kits come in.
3. No, well, not exactly.  The PPD was essentially a Russian KP-31 in looks and build type.  The Russians then made the PPSH-41 with more stamped steel components to make it cheaper and easier to produce.  They then changed the design to be almost all stamped components on the PPs-43 with the exception of one or two pieces like the feed ramp.  Some people have rebuilt those out of plate as well though. The PPs-43 is about half the weight of the KP-31 give or take some.  The whole idea from what I read was to be able to produce these in tin shops with unskilled labor, like every Russian weapon.   I think this should be entertaining for the engineers out there or people who think like that to see the circle of how the design evolved.
4. After building my KP-31 I started looking into the history of the submachine guns of that time.  I learned that from the KP-31 the Russians designed the PPD then the PPSH-41 and later the PPs-41 as the cheaper alternative.  After the war the Finnish redesigned the KP-31 as the KP-44 based off the Russian PPs-43's.  So I am building the design evolution of these particular rifles over the next month or two as the kits and parts come in.  I'm also about to start an entirely unrelated build of the Czech SA 26.
5. Try Wal Mart.  I bought some kind of "tactical" case from them for around $15 or so.
6. Check the ITAR regs.  Probably going to have to fill out some export forms and such before you even think of sending it out.
7. That sounds like the plot from Act of Valor.
8. I like my volt a lot. Friend gave it to me a while back and it's a good bit thinner than the Sog I carried for several years.
9. I think some people buy it thinking it's .22lr.  I was in Wallyworld and they had a sign up saying ".22 Hornet and Magnum are not the same as .22 LR."
10.
11. Hush, child, you have now alerted the scalpers. Seriously though that's great that it's now actually staying on the shelves.
12. Well some people consider getting a welfare check to be a job so...
13. Indeed that is how the cycle goes. Unfortunately a gentleman or two from this site is doing the same thing.
14. Fair assumption, you are probably correct.
15. You could always pull them and reload I suppose.
16. Can't see this going anywhere.
17. I personally have sent some tracers zinging off into slightly less then ideal areas of a range.
18. I threw several of those in my rifle case, until they broke unknown to me.  They got everywhere in the thing. I still shake it from time to time and they fall out.  Didn't really notice any noticeable change in humidity or whatever though.
19. Looks like you need to buy a Krag, clearly.
20. Wonder if JiHawg makes bullets for it.
21. If I'm not mistaken, don't those rounds tips collapse in due to an air pocket to mimic a hollow point or tumble but still be legal in Geneva/whichever one it was convention terms?
22. Lol.   Do you not trust your marksmanship skills? Also where can I find one of these rifle shotguns to which you refer.
23. I think what you're being told is to stop working in the yard.
24. Proof that placement is more important then size and power.
25. I guess they class that as a DD?
