  If you knowingly lie and sign the form then you have committed a crime - a felony.  If you answer yes to a no question and sign is that actually breaking the law?  All the form says is you will be denied.

Many times denials are erroneous due to clerical errors or lack of information in one of the great databases that tracks your life.  I don't believe dealers are notified of why a denial happens.  It is up to the customer to find out why and appeal if it is not justified.   If someone actually checks a yes box on the 4473 I don't know what a dealer is supposed to do.   Is it actually illegal to ATTEMPT to buy a gun?

On a typical mosin there is a serial number on the barrel shank, bolt, bottom of magazine and buttplate.  When "force matched" one of these numbers, often on the magazine, does not originally match the rifle so is is struck through and a matching number applied.

We've got our belly full in Knoxville.  No where near enough to take over local government but their numbers grow every year.

It's an ex-dragoon.  Not really worth much more than any other hex receiver.  Maybe a few bucks to a true collector.   $300 is beyond absurd for one.

What's getting old is...."went to such and such Walmart, they got nothing" or "I bought all they had, sucks for you".   This thread along with every other proclaiming ammo sightings is pointless and only leads to a buch of hand-wringing for those that did not see the writing on the wall last Summer.

It's an empty chamber indicator.  You clip it on using the tab then gently let the slide forward so everyone knows the gun is unloaded.    "SIG" stands for "Stick In Gun".
