  1. Ruger 10/22 Takedown fits the role nicely. Henry US Survival Rifle (AR-7) is also a good option.
  2. I agree. Mike's 90% is too low. I'm thinking much higher. Maybe 98%.
  3. They're just plottin' on ya.
  4. Beaver seaon is year round, no limit.
  5. Hawks are cool. OS, have you ever seen the Peregrines that hang out downtown? I saw one take out a pigeon in flight one day.
  6. Especially since that pill-popping windbag has never held office.

    500+ Yard Range?

If those big-ass bullets start chewing up the berm and then hitting the concrete walls of the target pit it could be a big deal.

    500+ Yard Range?

Perhaps, but is Mr. Liability interested in the obvious? Just saying, it might have something to do with it. One high shot could easily pass over those ridges. Then again, there is a proper concrete target pit down there. If I recall correctly the top is just about level with the berm in front of it.

    500+ Yard Range?

And if I'm not mistaken, just a couple of miles past the backstop, is a government installation. Haven't been out that way in a while to recall what that exactly is just southeast of the range but I do believe they would frown upon bullets falling about. To the left in this map is the range, to the right said facility. http://maps.google.c... Tennessee&z=14 Oh, and 50 BMG is just obnoxious.
  10. For many years I have wondered if I was somehow retarded for some of the stuff that I eat. Thanks to my TGO friends, I now understand that I'm completely normal, regardless of what the wife says. BTW, candy corn sucks.
  11. In the debate that I saw Romney admitted to signing an AW ban after the pro 2A crowd and anti's agreed on what was acceptable in MA. He seemed to be bragging again on his ability to bring both sides together. That always means someone loses. Guess who that usually is?
  12. It is about people in Davidson/Nashvile getting a handle on these types of BS amendments that are indecipherable. But it's on the ballot so most voters will say yes, of course. Same thing goes on in Knox County.
  13. Make up a batch of 1/3 mix (or Finn mix). One part each of BLO, beeswax and turpentine. Heat it up and apply warm. There's even a guy on the internet that sells his own recipe. Google "Toms 1/3". No, I've never done it but it's very traditional and much more appropriate for a mil-surp than Tru-oil, Formby's imitation tung oil or some other Home Depot finish..
  14. Trading in a gun is just like trading in anything else or outright selling to a dealer. You won't get jack for it. Far better off to sell it yourself.
  15. Kudzu is edible. At least the leaves are, not the vines.
  16. In Romney does win and screws things up then it very well could be Obama again in 2016.
  17. You can as long as the giftee is not ineligible to own or purchase a gun. This is not rocket science people.
  18. But of course. Might make it there Saturday AM.
  19. Just goes to show....liberals are no different than conservatives.
  20. No. It would look like any other car painted with nothing but primer.
  21. Yeah! I can't wait! What is it?
  22. The last time this country won a war (1945) was after killing hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians and laying waste to most of the urban areas of Germany and Japan.
  23. I'd rather be able to sleep soundly than have all the money in the world. You obviously have some sense of honor. That's a respectable thing, even if most people these days have no idea what it is.
