  1. Good call. I wonder where that will put Opie... against Clay (and Tig), or against the club? I wonder if he'll find out Jax knew...
  2. Hey Seaslug, what forearm is that?
  3. Nice personalities.

    Scout Rifles

I spent the afternoon prying up base boards, carpet, and carpet padding (then all the staples in the sub floor from the carpet pad), I feel ya I really want one in .308, and I've seen some kinda cool ones made from Enfield Ishy 2A's. I think a re-barreled K98 could be alright too. Someone started a thread on M4c titled "Modern "Fighting Bolt Gun" Hypothetical" which seems to have pretty quickly turned into a scout rifle thread. Some of the cooler pics from the thread:
  5. I watched The Simpsons Halloween episode earlier, and it was alright... I remember when that show was sooooooooo much better. I've been watching a short lived mid-90s sci-fi show on DVD as of late... maybe some of you remember it, "Space: Above and Beyond". It came on Fox.

    Scout Rifles

Any progress on anyone's scout rifle projects? I recently decided I'd like one myself.

It's used by cheese gobbling snobs to feel superior?
  8. Does the whole church/school thing extend to private schools, or is that a whole other animal? I'm just curious as I would think any church with a school located on it's grounds would be a private school.

    Windows 7

I was at the grocery store this afternoon and I heard someone talking about how they can't wait to upgrade to the new Windows 2007 I'm no techie, but even I thought that was funny.
  10. Nice! I've never seen any of the Spinx .380s either. Looks like a rather nicely made little pistola. Where'd you pick it up?
  11. Are you sure the word "quote" is to be capitalized? ETA: I've heard the quote attributed to a wide number of people. Most commonly Jefferson, but also Ford, Goldwater, and Carter. I have also heard it was not a quote, but a paraphrasing of something Jefferson had said once. I'm no historian, and don't claim to be, but I'm least concerned about the origin and most about the message.
  12. You can always go buy some windows from Home Depot or Lowe's, then hire a competent carpenter to come install them for you. The economy has a lot of tradesman out of work, shouldn't be hard to find a good guy that will give you a fair price.
  13. Well, sounds like you WANT to hear that you can put a less than 16" barrel on your AR IF you maintain an overall length equal to or greater than 26". Unfortunately, that's not the case. To keep yourself legal, you'll need to maintain a barrel length of at least 16" (or a shorter barrel with a flash suppressor that is permanently attached that extends the barrel length to at least 16") AND maintain a 26" or greater overall length. It's not a "this or that" kind of thing.
  14. Do you want the answer, or the answer you WANT to hear?
  15. Juice, the resident recon and intel guy... it made me sad, he's one of my favorites. BTW, where the hell is the prospect?!
  16. Yes. The barrel must be at least 16" regardless of the overall length. You don't need a class III anything, you just need to pay $200 for your NFA tax stamp.
  17. I've got the non-petroleum based tar substitute from a renewable resource if you've got the synthetic feathers
  18. I really don't want to de-rail this thing but... While science isn't partisan by nature, funding of research IS.
  19. Depends mainly on ignition. If the ignition is controlled by ecu, then you're pretty much screwed. If it's an old school points distributor, you're more than likely good to go. The secondary soloution is to use a Faraday cage to store parts that could be damaged by an EMP.
  20. It's a deal.
  21. You guys should totally keep on hunting a lot... because I love your wives too

  24. Ok, ok, so there IS a catch. Apparently Noveske is giving away a free stripped N4 lower with the purchase of any rifle or upper right now. The free lowers are factory 2nds due to slight cosmetic blems. It's not such a great deal that you should go buy yourself a Noveske, but if you've been meaning to buy one, why get one while you can score a free lower? Noveske Rifleworks, LLC. 25. Not trying to make light of this situation by any means, but I felt the need to quote that for all the people I've ever heard say that 9mm (FMJ especially) will "just piss someone off".
