Most of us here have EBR Disease, albeit we may all be in different stages. With demand tapering and prices returning to sane levels, what's on your drawing board right now? Will you be building, or taking advantage of prices on off the shelf rifles? I plan on starting another build or 3 as soon as I secure steady employment again. Here's what's on my agenda, in no particular order: Lightweight/KISS rifle SPR SBR M16A4gery I'm also toying with the idea of a .308 build. I'll probably build the SPR, SBR, and M16A4gery, but I'm considering going off the shelf for my lightweight/KISS rifle. I've got my eyes on Colt, LMT, and DD right now, but haven't ruled out an M&P. This is kind of the same sort of frustration I feel after filling out FAFSA's for years. Seems I was too white and too middle class for their tastes, and I never received any sort of gov't aid to go to school. I'm not saying it's the govt's duty to pay my tuition, but it would be nice if these benefits were made across the board in a colorblind fashion.

Definitely win-win! kwe: That's probably one of the cleanest SKSs I've ever seen. Are those the Tapco 20 rounders? Do they feed reliably?

So, this afternoon I get a call from my girlfriend's younger brother. He tells me he scored and awesome deal on an SKS, but it needs to be cleaned up a little. I tell him to bring it on over, and meet me in the war room. He shows up, and presents his newly acquired Chinese manufactured SKS w/ a choate paratrooper stock. I start inspecting it... The previous owner apparently decided to paint the bolt flat black The points of the rifle that are lucky enough to still have a bit of oil on them have cat hair stuck to them Geez... this thing was a turd! So, we spent the whole night tearing it down, and we've begun stripping it. I went to work on the bolt with a very fine grit sand paper to remove the excess paint when it became apparent why the previous owner decided to paint it... to cover up the rust . The rust wasn't to heavy, just a little surface rust, I guess the last owner was a very special kind of lazy bastard. So, he's only got $100 in the thing right now, and I've personally learned a lot about the SKS tonight. So maybe in a week or two he'll have a decent shooter on his hands.

That's what I was thinking when they were asking him about his preffered weapon and he said "Glock 40... cause it's big... it's just big" If you guys like Gangland, check out "Bloods and Crips: Made in America". It's a documentary by Stacey Peralta (founder of Powell Peralta skateboard, director of Dog Town and Z-Boys and Riding Giants) that explores how the gangs came to be, and what it's escalated to. It's doesn't focus on the gangs as a whole nationwide, just in LA. I remember at one point one of the people working on the film commented about the unreal percentage of gang members that they interviewed between the ages of 16-19, that were born and raised in LA, and had NEVER seen the Pacific.

What about GG&G's BattleHawk?

I just finished watching it. I learned some new stuff. Didn't like the bit where they commented on our gun laws with "you don't need a license to but a shotgun, handgun, or rifle". It made it sound like anybody with money can buy a firearm from an FFL... ETA: Oh, and did anyone else notice the air pistol they kept showing in the slow-mo black and white re-enactment thing?

Believe it or not, I've actually spotted a BP tag in Ashland City, and numerous ones in Springfield. Weird, eh?
