  1. Haha, I hear you man. I'm still considering enlisting myself. Not sure which route I'll go, but I've got a few ideas floating around.
  2. You joined back up?

Agreed. As it is, I think my .223/5.56 needs are amply covered by a world of choices of ARs
  4. Yeah, I've got it. Now, they're marketing is pretty cheesy, but it's a good program. Like canyn said, it's very traditional strength training, it's just packaged in a unique program. It's a very well designed program that works out the whole body. What they label as "muscle confusion" is just fancy talk for saying that you'll workout different parts of your body on different days which will amply allow each zone recovery time for maximum growth. The DVDs also come w/ a nutritional plan (notice I didn't say diet). The food is very good, and you actually get to eat A LOT and often! I only got through the first phase, then got side tracked by life and other annoyances, but i dropped about 13lbs in 4 weeks, lost mass in the waist, and gained it in my chest and arms. It's a good program, you just have to be commited to it. It also helps to be in decent shape BEFORE you start it. If you really want to build gobs of functional muscle, it's hard to beat CrossFit.
  5. Looks like these guys have one, it'll run you $180. National Match Standard Barrels
  6. Yeah, I think the video shows that he clearly just wanted to intimidate the kid. I mean, if running up to a vehicle as fast as he can and shoving his pistol in the window is his tactic for removing a potentially dangerous driver from a vehicle, then his tactics are crappy at best. It's disheartening to see this kind of behavior being tolerated when there are legions guys gunning for LEO jobs in TN.

    My Perfect Gun?!

Interesting, I hadn't seen one yet. If you don't mind me asking, how much did she run you?

  9. not this again.
  10. Short clips from the city council meeting in Santa Cruz... It's a must see.
  11. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice
  12. YES! I seriously lost my shiz on that one
  13. Several years ago I chipped the ends off of my two front teeth. I had them bonded, and it held for almost 10 years, then the bond broke one day while I was eating wings.I decided to go w/ a much more permanent solution and get permanent veneers done. The veneers looked great, but felt VERY awkward for a while. Your tongue is incredibly sensitive, so it notices differences in size and texture, no matter how slight those differences may be. You'll get used to them, just give it a month or so
  14. Yeah, if nothing else, they'd look cool strapped onto the Soap McTavish head sitting on a shelf in your war room
  15. So, I know there's a lot of fans of COD4: Modern Warfare here, and I'm sure everyone is excited about Modern Warfare 2 being released soon. I was doing a little googling and came across the "Prestige Edition" that will be sold at the release. It includes everything you'd expect from a limited edition release, such as a metal tin case w/ laser etched artwork, an artbook displaying early concepts of the game, a code to download the original Call of Duty for your PC, s sculpted replica of "Soap McTavish", and of course a pair of night vision goggles. Wait... a pair of NVGs!?!?! I'm sure they're campy, and probably don't work all that well, but it's a cool idea, and probably the only cool thing I've ever seen packaged in one of these limited edition boxes (I'm looking at you and your cat sized Spartan helmet, HALO). EDIT: BTW, it retails for $150. Here's the vid from Infinity Ward:
  16. I'm down
  17. It's biding it's time...
  18. Pssssh... I could totally do that... With this pool...
  19. Man, we should totally crosspost this on other gun forums. This whole 9mm vs .45 thing needs to be examined and debated more. When I googled "9mm vs .45", this thread was the only hit... We're definitely in uncharted waters here!

Hell yeah! I used to frequent Mary's Pit BBQ on Jefferson at least a few times a month, but I haven't been in over a year lately.
