  1. Nah, you're missing the point. Let's see... You've got a Kawasaki EX500 and a Aprilla MP3 500... for sake of your analogy, we'll say they're both ".50s". Now, even though they're both .50s, for some reason the Aprilla performs like a .308, AND it costs over 33% more. See where I'm going there? You'll get more for your $$, and it'll hold it's re-sale value better than the MP3. When I say you can get MORE, I'm talking end results, not quantity.
  2. Phew, that was a close one... I'm glad all of mine eat out of magazines!
  3. You know, they make similar vehicles for boys... they're called motorcycles! But really though, have you seen the MSRP on the MP3s? The 250cc is $7,200, the 400cc is $8700, and the 500cc is $8900! You can buy A LOT of bike for what they're asking for one of those scoots.
  4. Couldn't agree more. I won't be caught with anything less than a Snell rating.
  5. I like the blue better. Personally I'm a big fan of the "Dark Customs" line. If I could afford it, I'd pick up a Skull & Bones (however, I'd lose tha ape bars and go w/ something more low profile):
  6. That's the ticket
  7. I can't really add much to what has been said here, but I'll suggest a few bikes to look at: Suzuki DRZ400SM Kawasaki Ninja EX250 Kawasaki Ninja EX500 Suzuki GS500 Yamaha WR250x Yamaha V-Star 650 Honda VT600 I'd recommend buying a used entry-level bike. Since new riders are always popping up, they typically hold their value extremely well, so when you're ready to upgrade you'll likely be able to get near what you paid for it.
  8. Yeah, prolly Remington's 6.8SPC in the AR platform. I think it looks like a pretty promising platform. I read an article a while back where a guy ran through a sniper course w/ an LMT 18" SPR in 6.8SPC, and he's was preforming extremely well up against all the guys w/ their R700's. I think the round has quite a bit of promise.
  9. Strickj finally get that Michael Jackson watch that puts the big hand on the little hand several times a day?!
  10. Wow... just wow. I wonder what the ratio of people that believe their crap to people who call them on it is? I know I've ran into my fair share of Scout Snipers at the range before... funny how they couldn't even remember where exactly they went to Sniper School. One guy even told me "I was in a highly specialized unit, they moved us around a lot, between that and my odd short deployments to undisclosed locations, I can barely remember where I went to Boot Camp!".
  11. Hope I didn't put this in the wrong place... I just thought since the original topic was the future rifle of the armed services, it could go here... the more I think about it, it's more of a General Off-Topic kinda thing... feel free to move it! The 7.62x54 US Rifle that shoots ComBloc ammo pissed me off enough, then his claim that he was a "Quiet Professional" (neither of which he is representing himself as), then the post basically about how many people he's killed... my BS meter is pegging in the red!
  12. I was farting around on "Yahoo Answers" today, and someone had asked the question "What will be the replacement for the USGI Standard Issue Rifle?". Several answers followed, and the one chosen for best answer was this poppycock: Seriously? SERIOUSLY?! I looked at some of the guy's other Q&A's, and found he answered the question "Are You Afraid of Death?" in another section of YA... Here's his answer: I've never wanted to track someone down and kick them in the nuts as bad as I do right now...

...aaaaaand so I cry. I've been wanting to get a decent bolt gun for a while, and if one of these deals popped up in my area, I'd be all over it.

Damn... Just got back from my local Wally World, and they wanted $390 (marked down from $449) for their Vanguard... the one on display was chambered in .300 Weatherby as well, but the tag hanging off it noted that they also had .243 and 30-06 available (I assume at the same price). Nobody was manning the counter, or else I might have had to say "but the Lenoir City store had one for $200?!"
  15. I remember doing some research a while back, and I came across some stuff on a non-gun related site that was saying he was tied up w/ Scientology, and that he had authorized using Front Sight grounds for recruiting Seriously. I'm not making this up.
  16. Nice! I've always liked the MC Operator, but wasn't sure how I felt about the OD frame. I really like what you guys have done with it. How does the stainless color look up close?
  17. That's hilariously subtle. I said "subtle", not "supple".

    Yowza! That's an AWESOME deal!
  19. I'm in the AC, if you have your eye on a particular area of town/house, let me know and I'll tell you what the area is like or go scope it out for you. Springfield and Greenbrier aren't all that far away, and Nashville isn't a bad commute at all.
  20. No mention of the women, Elton John?
  21. If you decide to go non-intravenous, Pedialite and BC Powder go a looooong way
  22. It's all about preventative maintenance. I tied one on pretty good yesterday, but chugged two bottles of water right before I hit the sack. I feel pretty damn good
  23. I once got in an argument with my girlfriend and told her "Sailboat isn't the only Sea word I know."
  24. I've got a Lisa Frank drop leg holster for a G19 you might be interested in
  25. This is actually one of the few authentic pictures of the elusive mall ninja. Many go a lifetime without ever seeing one. They're crazy stealth!
