In this same episode, Dallas SWAT had 3 opening in which they were doings PATs to fill... at one point it cuts to a clip of a guy with a clipboard in a gym watching an applicant bench press. He shouts to someone off-screen, "Hey, throw another pair of 45s on there!", the applicant then reps it a few times, and he says "Impressive." and begins to mark something on his clipboard... I know several depts have demanding PATs for SWAT applicants, and maybe I'm wrong, but am I the only one doubting that Dallas really has a "How much ya bench?" portion of their test?!?!

What if it had the dreaded *GASP*, BARREL SHROUD!

I mean, the detective point to the scope and proclaims "You can tell w/ that scope, it can do some damage", like the scope makes it... what's the technical term... oh yeah, "more eviler".

So, I was watching Dallas SWAT this afternoon. They were doing a raid on a known PCP dealers house. After the house was cleared the detectives came in to gather evidence. One of the detectives is showing the firearms they have found in the house. He holds up a Hi-Point 9mm carbine, and what comes next gave me enough of a laugh to decide to do a screen capture and post it here

I've heard the Monster coffee drink is pretty good, and it doesn't have nearly the amount of sugar that the other flavors do. This looks like it might be more up your alley:

Go tell your doctor you're bored at work and have trouble concentrating. They'll prescribe you Adderall, which is an amphetamine. You won't need sleep for days. BTW, that was tounge in cheek I've always been a fan of red bull, but drink plenty of water with it, that stuff has a butt load of sodium in it.

Well, I didn't read through the whole thread, so I don't know if anyone has mentioned it or not but, Pizza Perfect in Nashville makes a great pie!

Good call, I totally for got to mention that... I'm bad at this whole internet thing I think my favorite line was "There's only to ways to change the way a man feels about you. Either set him on fire, or slap him."

Just saw this video, hopefully it's not a repost. It's an appearance from the Louisville NRA event back in May 08. It's old, but it's good. Marcus talks about getting arrested for "educating" a foreigner, Operation Redwing, ROE, and the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's a must see. My girlfriend and I recently attended a test screening for TNT's new crime drama series "Dark Blue" at the Mercy Lounge this past Thursday. I though I'd give you guys a heads up and some of my thoughts on it. Instead of writing a plot synopsis, I'll just steal one form somewhere else: What I liked: It's produced by Bruckheimer, so yeah, guns go off and stuff blows up! The show has a somewhat "gritty" feel, and I like that. One of the TNT guys mentioned each episode revolves around a new crime every week, therefore if you miss an episode, you won't be completely clueless. I like this. Shows like "Lost" that leave you just that, LOST if you miss 5 minutes of an episode can get kind of annoying. What I didn't like: There was a few tired crime drama cliches I could have done without. First, the lead character (Dylan Mcdermott) is seen popping pills while conversing w/ another officer in the crime lab. the officer asks him "That was asprin, right?" to which he gruffly responds "Yeah... something like that...". Is it just me, or is anyone else worn out on the whole tortured soul detective w/ an addiction to pain pills thing? I know I am. The second cliche came in the form of the bulletproof car. I'm so sick of seeing car doors being used as cover in shootouts... JUST STOP IT ALREADY! Verdict: Well, I was kind of hoping it would be a little more... shall I say, "The Shield-ish". I think the series has some promise, but I'm not sold on it just yet. I need a few more episodes to decide. So far, I've preffered NBC's "Southland", but we'll see where this series goes.

You sir need an updated definition of the word "buddy"!

I'm w/ ya there, Trip. I mean, if someone wants to rub a cheese grater on their face in the privacy of their own home, I couldn't care less.

Looked around the site and didn't see any MSRPs... Did they give you a ballpark figure on either one of these, Mike?

C'mon, surely there's someone in the Knox county area that has a helmet Linoge can borrow!

Heck yeah! The EX series is reliable as all get out too, not to mention easy to work on, easy to get cheap parts for (they've been making those things since what, 87?), and there are TONS of DIY resources for mods and maintenance on the web. Probably one of the smartest buys out there. I was thinking about scooping one up and giving it the streetfighter treatment, but I scored a 1st gen SV for beans, so I went that direction.

Bittersweet news I guess... Maybe I should just talk to the sporting goods manager and see if they wanna offload any of there rifles to cut me a real deal on one, but I honestly don't know what kind of free reign they have over pricing. Meh, we'll see.
