Hey, I like that cousin!!!
-
Or Lorcins....
-
Or as my buddy Kurt says, we had bitchin' frizzes and lostsa' a$$holes (Lhasa Apso). BTW, our beagle, Curtis Beauregard, is named for him - at least the Curtis part.

Here's a picture of our Bichon named Boscoe. He's passed away on July 1, 2002. Fantastic little dog.

Wow, I've made it to almost 59 years and have pretty much ignored all of those things. And it's been one hell of a romp. Here's something that hangs on my wall. Hope it's readable. I would have enhanced it, but I'm still reinstalling software after my drive format.

East Tn TGO Members DECEMBER 2007 Meet
Marswolf replied to Marswolf's topic in Events and Gatherings
I knew there was another reason for me to miss that shoot.... No, it is very stylish. And I've been know to do weird-ass stuff like that too. -
Nothing wrong with the question. We were doing OK until he started hypothetically threatening to shoot the neighbor's wife walking to her mailbox if her husband killed his attacking vicious dog. Then it went downhill from there. I think his screen name and the fact he was inciting the other members by his 12th post explain what he was doing here. Hope he had fun. He'll probably be back. BTW, Phantom6, I like the Stars and Bars.

Has anyone else noticed that most of the the nut jobs we get here are from Alabama?

Totally verifiable. Just Google it. You are mindless, stupid and in denial.

I think there are something like 8 breeds that are sometimes included in the "pit bull" category. We see all sorts of whining about how they are good dogs unless they are trained to be mean. It's mindless nonsense. The facts are that they are extremely aggressive by nature. It's in their DNA. And they are responsible for a totally out of balance number of human deaths, not to mention the deaths of countless other dogs. Pit Bulls and Rottweilers make up the majority of human deaths from dogs. People who keep pit bulls are either delusional, dumb, or falsely macho. And that comes from someone who is a big dog lover. Anyone who would allow their pit bull out of a very secure enclosure is a menace to their community and should be psychiatricly evaluated. There are very sensible and good reasons so many communities have banned the possession of these dogs.

Actually, I am a very nice guy, except when I'm not.

Stone River Liquors/Total Beverage

But good grief, the law changed in what, 2000? -
Not a problem for me. My neighbors know to not **** with me.

As I recall, TAC2 used to do SASS events until the SASS folks built their own range. I'll see what I can find out when I get a chance. (That means "don't hold your breath).

That's a good argument for continuing to use muzzle-loaders. I want the best weapons available for our guys to use.. Not suggesting that you don't want that too. One thing that has been affirmed from our current middle east excursion is that you really need different rifles for different purposes. I think the old one-gun-fits-all mentality has been demonstrated to be wrong. So throwing into the mix a new weapon - if better - should be fine. My thinking is that the military should be actively looking for a better short rifle; not digging in their heels in the face of their own tests that show that they have a problem.
-
Sounds pretty good, but in their policies it states: You can FAX that info these days.

A combat situation? Better use the sights. But for self-protection, it would depend on the distance and timing. The extra 1/4 second to get into a decent stance probably won't make a difference, but if they are right on you, you may not have that option.

I don't know if we have a troll or a fool, but this has got to be one of the most stupid threads we have ever had.

I bought a Beretta 92SB back in the 80s. Thousands of rounds through it and absolutely no problems. I still carry it as my primary field pistol. But I have to disagree about using HP rounds for combat situations. HPs are great for LE situations or personal protection. They flare when they get into soft tissue. That increases the size of the wound channel and slows the round so it doesn't go through and wound people behind the intended target. But you want a penetrating round for military use. FMJ does what it should do for that purpose.

I'm really not sure what difference it makes who requested the test. The military tested, got back results and has (as usual) decided to ignore the results. But I do agree that weapons malfunctions really are not a significant problem. Early on, we heard a lot about jamming of M16/M4s and M9s from the fine dust in Iraq. The solution was a change in lubricant and sufficient cleaning. I've never been thrilled with the M4 from a functionality standpoint. Shortening the gas tube seems to have caused a few problems. But in the current situation where length of the weapon is important, it's a decent compromise. But if I was making the decisions, I'd be looking for a better weapon and cutting back on M4 buys.

Just a reminder that if you let your dog get a claw nail off of your property without it being on a leash, you are in violation of Tennessee Code. If you don't want your dog harmed, you need to care enough for it to make sure it stays under your control. If you won't do that, you don't really care for your dog.

I have two for exactly the purpose of having some fun. Both are cheapies. One is a pistol, the other is a mini machine gun. Fun Fun Fun!!!
-
Kinda sounds like here on occasion. Better not rationally criticize certain deified weapons here either.

I think it's really nice of Phantom6 to offer his place for next month. That is probably the way to go. Maybe by spring we can find an alternate site in the Tri-Cities. My problem is like Tower's. I never know till the last minute if I'll even be in the area. All the forest service ranges are on the non-Knoxville side of this area, so that's an even farther drive. Sort of like driving to Oak Ridge from my place. If we could find someone with a place in the Morristown or Greeneville area, maybe we could go to an every third month format and give our hosts a bit more of a break. Hell, I'd love to see a half dozen places to shoot.
