  1. I guess its authentic, BEN SWAN reports today that the letter is indeed for real and has been mailed out, i guess they have made their choice so now its up to the people to make theirs.
  2. i was reading it on THE BLAZE, they are not sure yet but this is what they say - a letter does exist   UPDATE: A spokesperson with the Special Licensing and Firearms Unit of the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection told TheBlaze that a letter has been drafted to send to gun owners who are found to be in possession of unregistered semi-automatic rifles deemed illegal by the state’s new gun control law. However, “not a one” letter has been sent out so far. The spokesperson, who didn’t want to identify herself, refused to comment on the content of the draft letter. When we asked what other action the state plans to take against owners of unregistered so-called “assault rifles, the spokesperson said we should contact the governor’s office because that’s where they get their orders from. It’s not clear if the letter published by the Capitalism Institute is authentic, though we can confirm a draft letter does exist. – After tens of thousands of defiant gun owners in Connecticut chose not to register their semi-automatic rifles to comply with a hastily-passed gun control law, the state is now taking some action. Officials are reportedly notifying gun owners who submitted late applications that they have one last chance to get rid of their “illegal” weapons. State officials did accept some gun registration applications that were submitted after the Jan. 4 deadline, however, not all late applications were accepted, the Journal Inquirer reports. “But rather than turn that information over to prosecutors, state officials are giving the gun owners a chance to get rid of the weapons and magazines,” the report adds. So gun owners who actually tried to register their guns and magazines, intentionally late or not, are now on the state’s radar for owning guns that became illegal overnight. Owning an unregistered semi-automatic rifle or high-capacity magazine that was legal prior to Jan. 3 is now a class D felony under the new law.
  3. This is what i was talking about that their goal would be - they knew that alot of people would not register and that this is the only way for this Government to take our guns away. Confiscation was always their goal - they knew if they make people register their guns that there will be many that want comply but that was the only way for them to take the guns away - now its up to the people to choose what to do - Stand up and fight or give them up, These politicians have gone over board we have to do something about it soon.
  4. TRAINING is necessary if you want to become a Good shooter and a difference maker in a bad situation, How you get to that point is up to you - many people choose to pay for the classes and others that don't have the unlimited funds are doing it the best way they can, either self practice or with a help of a friend or fellow shooter - Both ways will get you to your goal you just have to be committed, i personally look at these classes as a good thing and $300 a day its not that expensive when you think how much knowledge you gain form it. Do it once and get the knowledge and then practice for free on your own. Also we spend so much money on junk and crap that we dont need these classes will at least give you something in return.

    SCAR 17

believe  it or not but Ruger SR762 has a better Gas system then the one in SCAR 17, it is a very good rifle for the money and with changing the trigger it makes a perfect battle rifle - what alot of people complain about is the sub MOA accuracy, Battle rifles dont need to have that kind of accuracy it is not a Sniper Rifle and 2MOA groups are perfectly fine at 100-200 yards in a combat situation. SCAR is a very nice looking rifle and is something all of us would like to own at some point but if i had to choose for every day use i would go with something cheaper and more basic like the Ruger SR762, Wide range on parts, magazines and a proven design that worked for decades. Again i agree that SCAR is something special but its just to special for me and with about $2500 - $3000 price tag its out of my price range.
  6. Thanks guys on many great choices i think i got my sights set on a Marlin 336  in either 30-30 or 35 Rem. And i am sure it want be my last one - also like some of you suggested i may go the used route and maybe get me couple of rifles.   Now the search begins -  i would like to buy locally around Nashville, i think i may have to visit the next gun show around here.
  7. Hello guys i would love to get me a nice Lever Action rifle - always liked them and i think its a nice piece of American History.  Potential use is at the range and possible Dear or Hog hunting.   What type and caliber to choose, my budget is $ 1000.00
  8. my wife finally settled for a G26 - she sold her Ruger LC9 due to the trigger she could not get comfortable with the long trigger pull,  next on her list was XDs and after renting it and shooting it she didnt like it - said it was to choppy and the grip digs in to her hand. Then she tried the G26 and she loves it - i also upgraded her trigger to a 3.5 lbs and she could not be more happy with it - very accurate to. some ladies say that is to heavy to carry but get a proper holster for her and it will not be a problem, mine uses a crossbreed look alike IWB from Well Armed Woman and it works perfect.

    F&D DEFENSE

Larue OBR has the same 20MOA rail as this one and i think the rear sight has to be recessed in order to work.

    F&D DEFENSE

Been looking at these rifles for a while and am thinking to take the plunge - FD 308 or FD 260 here is the link http://fd-defense.com/index.php Anyone heard anything about these? Operation Flawlessly feeds from Magpul P20 magazines 20 MOA tilt on top rail adds scope range Side charging handle, non-reciprocating Barrel 308 Winchester Match chambered, 5R cut rifled by Bartlien Barrels 1:10 twist; 5/8"-24 threads 18" length: effective range up to 800 yards 22" length: effective range up to 1000 yards Sub-MOA accuracy 416 Stainless, more uniform grain and density than mass-produced hammer-forged 4140 & 4150 alloy steels Heat treated, lapped, and polished bore Assembly F&D's rail system eliminates the barrel nut, allowing simplified and consistent barrel removal and reinstallation, while providing an extremely rigid connection to the upper receiver. F&D's exclusive bolt-on interface maintains much higher rigidity than barrel-nut designs, and consolidates the absolute lowest, and most compact, rail-height available to any piston or direct impengement system. This proprietary interface exerts 8200lbs of axial force against the upper receiver, compared to 6700lbs with standard barrel nuts utilized across the industry. Radial-clamping "quick-change" barrel systems exert little to no axial force against the upper receiver. 14. Hello me and my buddy are just starting to ride and would like to know some good locations or websites for trails in TN,  nothing to crazy we are both beginners and have Dual Purpose bikes - just some nice riding in the woods on some dirt road - no jumping or motocross tracks.   thanks.
  15. I don't know why some people complain that its to expensive to shoot trap the guy has to pay for those machines somehow he told me they are $8000 each
  16. If you like to have it for your computer i purchased  a software from BurnSoft.net - My Gun Collection its only $14.99 to download and its a very good product so easy to keep track of your firearms and accessories purchases, sales. Try it out you want be disappointed.
  17. My local Gun Shop does it the same day when day recieve the product - i think maybe they are pissed off due to you purchasing guns online - i had a similar experience with the Reloaders Bench in Mt Juliet, TN - purchased a rifle and wanted to use them for a transfer and called them for 2 days in a row to send their FFL to the seller and they never did - on my 3rd day i called the Gun Room in Lebanon and they sent it out in 10 min.  I dont know what is the problem but some people just dont care or dont need our business. Its sad but its true, my advice next time try someone else and see how it works.
