K man, that is a good looking rifle there! I say you did good, real good. My weakness is for Left handed rifles. Just picked up a Savage 110, caliber 35 Whelen.

I have a high metabolism, I can work inside the walk-in cooler at 35° with no jacket on for hours. I can work outside in the winter time for hours no issues. However much above 80° I suffer terrible, it goes over 90 I have to be extremely careful or I will overheat.

Boresight users: chamber boresight vs universal.
RED333 replied to scatman's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
This will get you on paper. Find a mirror that’s about 10 to 15 feet 20 feet is better away from you. Gun empty finger off the trigger look through the site into the mirror and adjust your site to fall on the end of the muzzle. Do this two or three times adjust as needed. This will get you on paper at about 50 yards. -
Thanks fot he pic, I see both are right handed. GLWS

It is better than dropping your guard and things go bad.

Great input, thanks much! As far as your last line, I would like to add why sell something that works. The LGS would have to replace the firearm.

I would like to see some pics.

This would be great, but not holding my breath.

I as well have been thinking as I am sure most of us are. The background of the shooters from when they were in their teens is a start. Let the NICS system look back as far as needed. However the issuies have to be reported to NICS to work. Like this about a million times!!!

Reloading startup 9mm, 5.56, and 300 blk
RED333 replied to Huntin101's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
OK, I will say it, You have picked a bad time to start reloading. Primers are, as said before, very hard to get and getting more and more costly. Powder is another component that is gona slow you down. Brass, if you can find it is very costly as well. Be ready for the "Gold Trimmed" prices on everything! -
Not to be out done, Chi town this weekend https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2021/6/5/22520130/chicago-weekend-shootings-june-4-homicide-gun-violence Nearly 60 people were shot in Chicago over the weekend, one of the year’s most violent with more than half the shootings occurring in neighborhoods that have borne the brunt of gun violence all year. Interesting Article on Mental Health

I was listening to radio this morning, the host was talking about the young shooters and how it been found that both were in trouble in school. Fights and other problems with the law that are not reported to the back ground system. Now the host said if these were reported the shooters just might have not been able to buy the firearms. -
and after the resent shooting of 2 doctors it may be closer than we like.

Most insurance company's will not pay for the service. -
Just read the shooter targeted a surgeon that preformed back surgery on him back in May. News said the man was in pain and was taking retribution out on the surgeon. The others that were shot we’re just in the way. I remember Obamacare made it OK for doctors to ask about firearms, I wonder if that is going to come back.

Interesting Article on Mental Health
RED333 replied to aknifemaker's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
A few lines struck me as to what we are seeing now. "Specifically, it suggests that functional mental illness is a characteristic disease of prosperous and secure liberal democracies. " "The more a society is dedicated to the value of equality and the more choices it offers for individual self-determination, the higher its rates of functional mental illness. These rates increase in parallel with the increase in the available occupational, geographical, religious, gender and lifestyle-related choices." "Equality inevitably makes self-definition a matter of one’s own choice, and the formation of personal identity—necessary for mental health—becomes personal responsibility, a burden some people can’t shoulder." and then this one is just scary, "In contrast, rates of functional mental illness in societies that are insecure, poor, inegalitarian or authoritarian are remarkably low. For decades, the World Psychiatric Association has pondered the “perennial puzzle” of the relative immunity to such illnesses in Southeast Asian countries." aknifemaker, thanks for the link -
Untold millions are there from the big give away in the past few years. Schools have not spent it yet, the law that gave the money out did not say what the money had to be spent on. I am sure some went to administration to line pockets of teachers to tow the line.

Wish I could like this about a million and a half times!
