  1. I bought a case of them online about 6 months ago. Have had no issues with them. I'm assuming your talking reloading the brass? I have reloaded some of them a few times also with no issues. If I could buy another case for 200.00 I'd jump on them. Flyboy
  2. I never reloaded before. Went with a dillon square deal B. I have reloaded 1K or 1m so far with great results. Just plinking rounds but no issues. Runs thru ever gun I have tried. Simple and easy to use and can crank them out. Don't believe I would like doing it a step at a time. Flyboy
  3. Never cast bullets, looking to in the future. I pour tons of lead jigs and lures for years. Just had my blood checked and its fine(twitch twitch). Just clean your hands good after messing with it. Flyboy
  4. which media seems to do a better job, crushed walnuts or corn cob???   Flyboy
  5. Been looking at some load data for this combo. Can't find anything but generic bullets. Looks like a starting point of 4.1 up to 4.4 on the powder. First loads here just wanting to cover everything? Here is a load from Handloads.com FMJ 4.5 gr Win 231 1,060 fps Winchester Suggested starting load: 4.1 gr Pressure: 32,700 PSI Hodgdon site only list one load for a 124 FMJ gram bullet with wsf, and isnt specific on which bullet. Thanks flyboy
  6. I got a Layman 1000 beam to go with my square B deal for Xmas, and trying to see if I should swap out for a digital one. Flyboy
  7. Well more info might be helpful I planning on just loading 9 mm to start, on a square deal B So just need to triple check the load. Flyboy
  8. So beam, or digital. Which and why? Thanks Flyboy
  9. In Mt Juliet they Dicks never had any hand guns or anything other then shot guns. They suck, thank goodness or Godness they built academy right across the street, But the other night I went by Academy and they are out of almost every guns other then shot guns. They are getting new items a few time a week. Flyboy
  10. Just sent them a little note saying I'm done doing business with them!!! Flyboy
  11. Ah just saw the other post. Didn't look far enough down. Sorry Flyboy
  12. Just left their website and couldn't get to the gun side on my iPad, found a link that said the stopped selling guns. There is tons of ammo, but no gun for sale. Anyone else know anything about this. Flyboy
  13. I found that reloaders Bench had a used Square Deal B so its under the tree. Stocking up on brass and reading Lymans Book that I got at reloaders bench. I noticed a few things on the press, called Dillon and there on there way. No questions asked, what a deal. Seems that Montana Gold has a case of 9 for 330 or so for 3750 bullets that under .09 as cheap as Berrys bullets, but seem to get higher reviews. Thanks All Flyboy
  14. 9MM to start. I'll give Dave a call later on after the Turkey digest. LOL Flyboy
  15. Ok Ok, Im going to get a Single stage press!!! Im not planing on reloading rifle rounds!!!! What is the best Powder, and Bullets for range shooting? Where do you find the best place to get the bullets online, Other then Dave at the gun shows. Flyboy
  16. Thanks Dolomite, I had started getting boxes of AR rounds at Academy the Monarch boxes they have at 4.99 or so. A friend said he wasn't how sure they would cycle thru unlike the AK. Makes since that surplus should run fine, but they are made by the ruskies!!!!! Flyboy
  17. Yea I have no ideal what a AK45 is so I changed it, that is what a little wine will do for you while posting I guess. I have loaded 12 gauges before when I use to hunt a lot on a single stage press. I planning on the progressive so I don't waste the money to buy a single press only to eat the cost to get the progressive later. I also planning on getting the books listed above when I get back home, I understand that its not hard but you need to know what you are doing. But you also need to know what powder you are going to use to know the load for the case, So I was wanting to know which powder you folks use and why. IE clean burning, density, bulk to keep from double loading etc. As for bullets for the range here again there are so many round nose bullets. From Hornady, Speer, Winchester, Federal, to Sierra, Armscor, and House brands. I don't mind spending money (yea I do) but if I can save so money on 1K rounds and get the same quality as a Higher price bullet then I am all in. But I don't want to waste money on a good deal that turns out that it isn't. I have reloaded 12 Gauges on a single press in the past. I am going in with my brother and we would rather get a progressive from the start and not be wishing the whole time that we had something different. Reloader's Bench is just around the corner, and Ill take their input, and Im sure they will tell me straight up what they recommend but I would like a few other points of view. As for the AK45 (AK47) and AR15 is there much saving over surplus ammo cans. I know the AK will eat anything but how is the AR on the surplus stuff. I will have to figure out the cost of the press and other gear on the saving over surplus ammo. I do have a few guns and a HCP permit. I buy bulk ammo at this time just looking to get a better product at a cheaper price. Thanks all Flyboy
  18. Hey like the title says I'm new to reloading so new I don't have a loader yet, I am planing on getting a dillon loader for Xmas no I'm sorry Christmas (lets put Christ back in Christmas) What is a good bullet, and powder for a reload. I am planning on getting the Dillon Square B deal so if I go to other calibers I can do it rather easily. I have checked all kinds of threads on here and on line to find the best bulk Bullets and powder but I want to know what you folks do. I will use them for target range mostly but if the #### hits the fan I want to have thousands of loads to have on hand. I will probably end up with a 45 also so what ever powder I get I want to be able to load them also. If I go to reload ak47 or AR15 is the powder the same as the pistol round etc. Thanks FlyBoy
  19. Guess it is time to Ban Tractors!!!!!! Flyboy
  20. I believe I heard that from the get go they told obama that the 2nd amendment was off the table because of lck of support. Thus obama and holder fast deal. After the fast deal with there hands in the cookie jar they haven't brought it up. But give them another 4 years and it's Kattie bar the door!!!!!!! Flyboy PS there is a reason obama isn't in caps!!!!
  21. What American Soldier has a AK47, The only Soldiers that I have ever seen with them are the bad guys. The Muslim, Chinese, Russians. Kind of funny to ME that he used that make of gun. Not an American Gun. Flyboy
