That gas block is going towork great but you WILL have to use blue loctite on the adjustment screw because unless they have changed something the screw has a bit much play in it. This won't be a problem because once you settle on an adjustment you add the loctite and all is well. I think you will like having the adjustable block.

I guess I forgot to add this to my post but I also bought my wife a 9mm Shield and dropped the frame off for Ceracoat but since Ceracoat doesn't offer the color needed, he having to experiment and I won't have it back to give to her tomorrow. She's okay with that, as she should be because I couldn't let her not have stuff to open so she's getting double this Christmas.

There are worse situations to be in for sure, like having no barrel yet and it being your own fault because you didn't check the exp. date on your card :) I'm excited to see what kinda results you get.

Piers is quite ignorant as well as quite the bigot. There is a small faction that are more a bigot than Piers himself as most everything that is vomited from his mouth is intolerance towards one group or another. I respect his right to spew the verbal diarrhea that is his thoughts but man o man does it make me want to see him on the first boat headed away from the U.S..

You beat me to it OS but I was going to ask the same question. I sure can't see tossing barrels in the scrap bin until I get one with a gas port that is "just right". And just right for what? I may change ammo and all the sudden it is no longer "just right". I think being able to tune your gas system is a valuable thing regardless of whether or not you're going to be shooting 3gun. Ted S. unless something new is brought to my attention i'm going to say stick with the adjustable block idea as Dolomite has i'm sure explained well to you and OhShoot mentioned above. IMO having a great trigger, a nice sight/optic and a properly tuned gas system make for a really good rifle.

I'm pretty sure we were both talking about the primary, where there is a choice. I couldn't name one off hand but I'd say there are at least a few democrats out there that would be more conservative than Lamar. In the general I would vote for Lamar IF he's there because I would be left with no choice. My hand quivers anytime I am forced to vote for someone so void of integrity.

Ha! I think you did :) Guess I understood you to mean that folks like us would change our minds and vote for the likes of Alexander. That was the disagree part.. So I thought anyways.

Funny how a cleverly worded, warm and fuzzy ad can cause amnesia isn't it. I agree and disagree with your prediction, "The People" that are right now PO'd will still be PO'd and will vote the same way once election season rolls around as they would if the election were held today. Here's where the sad part happens, the votes of the engaged people that are paying attention year round will be diluted and/or washed out by the votes of the well meaning people that are just "to busy" to watch whats going up until election season when the ads are hard to miss. The group of well meaning people will happily run down to there local polling place and cast their vote for the folks they thought sounded best in the aforementioned ads without spending the first minute researching to see if the candidate that they fell in love with's voting and activity record even resembles the way they depicted themselves in the clever ad. Now it would certainly seem as though "The People" had forgotten how PO'd they were earlier in the year but in reality they are just out numbered by the uninformed hipster voters that eclipse them at the ballot box. As if this weren't bad enough, due to the TN insanity that allows Democrats to not only cast votes for their man (or woman) but also allows them to vote for which one of our men (or women) they would most like to see run against their Democratic candidate. Unfortunately the Democrats and the well meaning group oftentimes vote for the same man (or woman)to run on our sides which for all intents and purposes makes it impossible for us to get the right man (or women) for the job put in place. I almost have to laugh just to keep from crying.

As far as receiving goes, I got my Christmas gift from my wife early this year in the form of a Dillon 650 press and while it's not a firearm, i'm still pretty excited. It will allow me the feed my firearms at a much quicker rate. She also told and of our family members that happened to ask that I had most anything that I NEED but that I would like to have gift cards to Outpost Armory to help buy parts for the Dillon so now I see an electric case feeder on the horizon. When it comes to giving firearms and related stuff I bought a Phoenix arms pocket pistol in .22lr for one of my brother in laws so he'll get that and a brick of ammo for it under the tree. My "about to be brother in law" who is an Irishmen that met my sister in Toronto and will be moving to New York City where my sisters work is after the wedding will not be receiving a pistol, for obvious reasons.. He's going to hate NYC even more after he realizes that is the reason he did not get a gun :) I bought him knives and a sweatshirt from the my local range for him but the big part of his gift is a bit more complicated. My sister and him will be getting married in April and all of his Irish family and friends will be stateside for the wedding. Most are gun enthusiast as much as they can be since about all they can own is a bolt rifle and that's if you have a reason for owning one that the police agree with so they are very sheltered compared to TN so he wants to spend a few days at the range while they are all here (probably 12-15 shooters). He is receiving reloading components so that I can have enough ammo loaded up to allow them to shoot until they are sick of shooting. I am also giving some mags and other accessories as gifts to some friends. I hope everyone here has a blessed Christmas..

Folks are to worried about checking Facebook and whatnot on there phones to pay attention to whats going on around them.... Good grief! It is good to see that there are at least a few folks that were willing to stand up to the guy.

I'm going to have to unsubscribe to this thread! Because my phone haas been going nuts all day and battery life is suffering :) I don't think I've ever seen a thread on here take off and maintain momentum like this one has.

Mormon is Mormon and they have chosen to add and take away from the Bible, the same Bible that states that we shall not add to or take away from it. Catholic is Catholic and they hold some different beliefs. When a Catholic fills out something that asks their religion they write Catholic (the ones I know anyways) not Christian. When it comes to Baptists, Methodist, Presbyterian etc.. You are talking about the same religion but with fairly small differences in interpretation. But the bible is very clear on some things and homosexuality is one of those many so there's really no room for interpretations unless you are willing to make the conscious decision that you know better than God. I don't think that everyone has to think exactly like me but I do know exactly where I stand on certain matters and will not compromise those for anyone. You can't lump 3 different religions together and hope that I don't notice. As far as A&E goes, I think they have a right to stick by their beliefs or lack there of just as much as Phil Robertson does. It just so happens that A&E is in the power position and has the right to do as they please even if I or anyone else thinks it's stupid. The only thing that really burns me is that it's not a 2 way street. Christians are expected to not only be tolerant of everything but to embrace it as their own and if they don't they will in the name of tolerance, bash you to a bloody pulp even if they have to lie and fabricate there story to do it.

Which one are you planning to use?

A person can't pick and choose which parts of the bible are right and which parts are wrong, you either believe it or you don't. I don't think a homosexual man or woman is any more of a sinner than myself but homosexuality is a sin and they'll have to answer for that just the same as I will for the multiple sins that I commit every day. There's only been on man to walk this earth that was free from sin and as far as i'm concerned he will be the only one judge anyone of us. I have a few gay friends and I don't think of them as any less than myself even though I hold the bibles view on their choice of lifestyle, it's not my business to judge. If this had been any other religion it wouldn't have even made the small talk between news segments but because it is a Christian family in the sea of liberal that is show biz, it is shouted from the hilltop. They claim that Phil is a bigot for expressing his religious beliefs when asked about them but maybe if they actually new the definition of bigotry ( bigoted attitudes; intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself) they would realize that they themselves are the bigots in the room. This was a setup and when Phil didn't say things in a bigotry enough like manner for them they chopped up and edited the film to suit their ends.

Is spelling and punctuation a thing of the past?

Ha. I got carried away I meant forces me to sale. I reckon I should slow down and proof read so I don't become the one that the thread is about ;) -

I used to buy and SELL heavily on Craigslist and eBay and the most irritating thing for me (which I see a lot here and everywhere else items are bought and sold) is the misuse of sell/sale. "divorce forces me to SALE my motorcycle" really? you're not going to SALE your motorcycle, gun , ammo or anything else. You might in fact SELL your item but you will not SALE it. I also used to see grown men selling their motorcycle helmUt as well as their trailOr. I'm not the best with punctuation and often times put it where I mentally pause while typing/thinking but I at least know what words mean. -
If keeping on tucked away on the recliner is what you want to do I would suggest one of the generic pocket holsters velcro'ed between the seat cushion and the arm on your strong side. you can stick a small pistol in there where it can't be spotted and it is also very unlikely to fall out since the cushion will actually be over it slightly. I did just this when living in a rough part of a city I used to reside in and it was always there just in case. if you're sitting in the recliner then it won't take much movement at all to deploy the pistol and I practiced drawing from this location many times and never had the slightest hangup but I suppose all chairs are not created equal :D I would suggest maybe keeping a concealable pistol on your person which I usually did but I liked knowing that there was another option tucked away in the piece of furniture I spent the most time in.

Question for folks running a Dillon 650.
Luke E. replied to Luke E.'s topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I didn't have much time to run the press tonight (again) but I did run some cases through, paying close attention to what was happening. There is a very shallow channel cut the length of the station 1 locator where the primer/primer pocket scoots along and on the ones that tip over it seems that they are being dropped off center.since they are being dropped more towards the rear of the channel, rather than each side of the locator supporting part of the case, the side of the case closest to the operator is falling into the channel so when it starts being pushed towards the shell plate it falls over. Not sure what the fix to this is yet but i'm hoping someone that has had this problem before will run across this thread. -
Question for folks running a Dillon 650.
Luke E. replied to Luke E.'s topic in Ammunition and Reloading
As far as the powder measure goes I've had pretty good luck making adjustments to it but mainly because I've got a fair bit of experience running a 550. One thing I learned on the 650 is that you need to get the powder throwing right BEFORE dumping the primers in or else it'll start slinging them out. Wonder how I know that? Ha -

It is set to the rifle side but I double checked it. Thanks. -
Question for folks running a Dillon 650.
Luke E. replied to Luke E.'s topic in Ammunition and Reloading
This thought crossed my mind and I started keeping track of everything. It seems to happen about as much when there are multiple case in there as when there are none. Looking at the notes I made it did happen just slightly more when the level was low but only by once. I've not loaded a large number yet so I guess my findings aren't spread over large amounts. I'll continue to watch to see if it starts pointing that way though. Thanks.
