  1. I'd dare suggest that poll is likely low and getting more so on a daily basis
  2. Now that this is 6 pages long, everybody take a deep breath and imagine what it's like out there on two wheels. It's so bad that I film every ride with a helmet cam just so my heirs will know what really happened.
  3. I like them because they 'square' my finger up nicely and for the 'felt' reduction in trigger pull. I'd found them for the paint ball guys, not sure how they would apply to a rifle. I've never used one on a pistol just my long guns, but I could see it snagging a holster or clothing whilst drawing.
  4. Anybody got a good source for trigger shoes. I'm starting to think I am the only person left in the world that uses them. T Grips has them but they don't do CC or Debits online and I'm thinking they are backlogged as well.   Never have figured why they have gone out of style, they're handier than a shirt pocket. I bet allot of new shooters never heard of them. Probably hands down the best improvement a fellow can make to a trigger for the dollars involved.
  5. I got some I been meaning to put on the classifieds here at cost. I'll try and get the figures together tonight. Got a bunch of cheap 22 Remington, some not so cheap Aguila,  Colibri and the super Colibri,  Eley in different flavors, 22 mags,  and such. Probably close to 4k rounds.
  6. Thing about buying supplies online is you have to be prepared to purchase right then and there, can't be wondering which way to go.
  7. I don't see it getting much better than that
  8. I've gone to strictly online purchases. no chasing around, easy to compare. Scored these on 4/22, got 'em in 4/24. No gas, no fuss, no standing in line.
  9. Yeah, IIRC, the 2009 H1N1 went pandemic in about a week and a half after Mexico City shut down but they refused to call it for about 3 more weeks. Fortunately it wasn't virulent in modern nations and that in itself is a bit of misfortune. People soon scoffed at the idea of a pandemic without ever realizing the true nature of the beast.   If this one should get out of hand at it's current CFR of 16-20%, it would redefine the definition of pandemic. There again, being a novel pathogen, it could be quickly adapting and re-assorting in to nothing more than sneeze.   The thing about a novel virus is that to connect to humans isn't easy, it has to hit a near perfect match. It's like the odds of shuffling a deck of cards and dealing four royal flushes off the top (without cheating unless you include terrorists). Odds are against it happening, but then every night, families all across China and Indonesia snuggle down in their beds with their chickens and the cards are re-shuffled several million times.
  10.   Yeah, I think he probably got it wandering around in one of those petri dishes they call open markets.  H5 is next to impossible to catch short of sucking the snot out of a chicken's beak. This one seems a bit more virulent, albeit a bit less mortality. Wouldn't surprise me to find the vector to be a pig.   I haven't tracked it much at all, just read the headlines mostly, but am going to start paying attention now that it's reared it's ugly head in Taiwan. Let it break out of there and the proverbial 'SHTF' moment has arrived...   I wonder how many confirmed cases have lived without a respirator or were they all vented?
  11. Anybody else follow flu transmission and such. Evidently this beast just made the jump to Taiwan...   Mortality rate is fairly high, not sure about the transmission rates. Once it starts in Taiwan they may get a handle on what to expect.   This is off Drudge, not sure how much stock to put in it: http://www.france24.com/en/20130424-taiwan-confirms-first-h7n9-bird-flu-case-outside-china
  12. Used to be those tri-stones were the cat's ass of sharpeners, I get just as good if not better with the ceramic and leather strop anymore. Got my last one at Dick's, don't use oil on them just water
  13. I saw the Cabelas and started to grab the limit, backed off and left it for the other guy. Gunbot has been going off all day but haven't had allot of time to look what all came through.
  14. That sling really sits well on it, very nice touch to a really nice MAK.
  15. I don't think I would ever use a dremel for that, has to be getting the blade hot and how do you control the thing tjo get a nice edge? Get a ceramic stone and use that is my suggestion.
  16. Be cautious at Midway, when you click the place order button, don't double click! If you do it will 'grey' out. I got in for 5k, more over at Lohman arms (sp) as well as Sinclair, Mid-South may have them as well. If you order in 5k qty, it works out to maybe 32-37/1k.
  17. In stock @ Midway 1227 hrs.   http://www.midwayusa.com/product/2900166619/winchester-small-pistol-primers-1-1-2   http://www.midwayusa.com/product/2900120227/winchester-large-rifle-primers-8-1-2   http://www.midwayusa.com/product/2900619596/winchester-large-pistol-primers-7
  18. I assume your links are to empty shelves at Sinclair and you are right, as I got back-ordered, but no bother, as it happens in this day and age. SPG filled an order from Jan 1 just a few weeks ago, at the agreed upon price. If Sinclair does jack the price, I'll not spend another dime with them either.   I don't know how much ammo I've sold to members here, quite allot though, at my cost. Haven't made one dime off of it and in fact lost money just to meet people to drop it off, so it seriously chaps my butt to have these prices rubbed in my face. YMMV
  19.   Not real sure who pissed in your cheerios... If it was me, given your direct response, glad my aim was good, so whatever floats your boat there chief...
  20. Yesterday a buddy and I drove 150 miles, $35 in gas, $10 to get in the gate, went to get small rifle and pistol primers, 5k of each, got asked 40 & 60 per thousand by a young fellow. We politely said that was too high for Wolf primers and as my buddy and I turned to leave, we literally got laughed at by the young salesman who then quoted us to the girl behind the counter.   I got home and ordered 5k of each from Sinclair at 21.99/1000... I will not tolerate being derided by a vendor trying to gouge me, nor will I ever spend one cent on his products again.
  21. Shoot in the air and move laterally, as fast as possible, when you cross the NY state line. You might make it out...
  22. You're a fellow that planned ahead...
  23. Does this mean Martha Stewart is a suspect?
