Fatal shooting of dog in front of owner apparently legal
Poor_Dog replied to billyscott's topic in General Chat
I have to come down on the other side of this issue. My God, it was a Jack Russel Terrorist... If you can't kick that dog's ass then you really don't need to be out walking, I seriously doubt you could hold onto your own animals. Sounds to me like the psycho neighbor just wanted to exercise his rights. More than one way to handle the situation than simply pulling your piece and killing an animal in it's home territory. Hell he could have simply eased on down the road. My dog is a treasured part of my family, he would lay his life down for me and I feel the same about him... A stranger, walking through my neighborhood, up and shoots my dog because a territorial dispute has broke out between the animals...! 'Sweet Cheeks' had best save a few rounds because I'm damn well coming for him. We'll be talking about the rest of it during the discovery process. YMMV -
Now that makes things right... I'm gonna do that to the next guy I catch doing the speed limit...

300+ million folks in this country now, chances are you will be sharing the road with somebody.

A couple of weeks ago I had a young guy, maybe 19 years old, run up to my open truck window and flashed/flicked a knife in my face. I had a Glock 23, Colt 45 and a Bersa 380 within reach. If he only knew how close he came. If he had reached inside that window it would have ended badly for him.

Had to like it because it was so funny

I got another one in the works but it will be allot nicer IMO than the one above. I intend to go with an M1A look and have got a fairly good start. Looking at a Levy's 1 inch leather 1907 style sling for it, but can't commit.

Yup, I was just in there, got a big pile of them.

Well durn... Just pee'd in my Cheerios, lol.

First that I have ever heard of a show in Dickson, but I checked and sure enough this weekend. I may get over there as I got an AK I'd like to work a trade on.

Oh it's not... What I was surprised to see was the green 'in stock' on every line.

Needs fishing line...

Rumor has it that anything attached to the barrel helps a Mini, but I just ordered the sling swivel to attach it on the forearm. I have a Harris adapter but don't like putting pressure on the gas block.

Yup... I pulled the pics up, looked at the rifle, looked back at the pic... Crap!

So far: Mini 14 581 ( JRock via TGO) Mo-Reaper Recoil/Flash Suppressor Amegarange Mini Scout Rail Accuracy Systems Adjustable Gas Block Eotech 551 (Mcordell via TGO) BC Folder Harris Bi-pod UTG Tri-Rail Buffer Trigger I think the Eotech profile is too big so may downsize to something else. Also going to do away with the UTG and move the bi-pod to the forearm this weekend. Otherwise I really like it... Challenge: See if you can spot something wrong with the rifle from the pictures... Cost me an hour of work after I looked at them.

Dammit Jim...! If that happened to me I don't know what I'd do, probably join the AARP, get on welfare and head on down to Walmart. Something else will come along, my wife got laid off and got a job in the first place she went to.

JMO, but we got one foot over the edge now and the other is precariously gripping a banana peel with the toes. I have never seen the markets the way they are now, like a foundation built on sand.

I'd suspected that, several orders from Brownell's have resulted in a Sinclair invoice.

Naw, 'sides I got a friend teaching me how to load, he told me how to do that back some time ago. To date, the worst thing I've done was to load half a dozen rounds without sizing them. Only reason I caught it was a bullet fell into the case. I had mistakenly grabbed them, thinking they were a tray that I had sized the week prior. Glad I caught it.
