  1. Where is this??? Detroit! Nevermind. buk
  2. Well from their response, I'm guessing we're getting the big F.U.! You know I'm only interested in modern (if you can call an AK that) firearms, but never once did I consider pointing fingers or making fun of anyone for it. I didn't even use the term "Fudd" until I was already pissed enough to just leave. I guess I'm a live-and-let-live kinda guy. Maybe it was that tolerance and respect for others that I was learning when they were teaching "muzzle up". Tungsten, tell these folks good luck finding a new range, and a new attitude. buk
  3. About 10 years ago I somehow got a big gouge on the feed ramp of my Para P14. Jeff worked on it for me and I swear, it was like glass when I got it back. He does awesome work. Don't worry, you'll be pleased. buk
  4. Yeah that was real fun. The wife and I pulled up right when it was getting loud. We hung around about 30 minutes or so and really didn't like the obvious waves of hate coming off the muzzleloader crowd. We never even unloaded out stuff, just left and went home. You know, if the club is losing their range and are unsure of their future, shouldn't they be embracing everyone they can? As much money as the TGO has put into the place, you'd think they'd try to partner with us to find a new location. Someone tell the Fudd's they owe me $20 worth of gas!! buk
  5. Is this the Academy at Cool Springs? buk
  6. Joe, the wife and I have AT&T and we've used them from your shop a few times. (Usually to try to sell something so I can buy something from you.) Always had great coverage. buk
  7. I'm guessing it's the place that's been there forever right next to I24? That place is huge, it'll be a hell of a show. Tell me you're taping it!!!! buk
  8. Never seen reloading supplies there. Lots of accessories and NFA stuff. Used to have a guy who did his own steel targets, he had a lot of cool stuff at pretty reasonable prices. buk
  9. I'm guessing your doughnuts were good? I got some from the Nashville Krispy Kreme a few months ago and they had a terrible chemical taste. I asked the guy at the counter what that was about. He said it was the new trans-fat free oil they were using. If I was really worried about trans-fats would I be in a damn Krispy Kreme?!?!? buk
  10. +1. I never argue with hard-headed people like that. They can't open their minds enough to even consider they might be wrong. Arguing just wastes your time. buk
  11. Hey Joe, how many of those 870s do you have left buk
  12. Possibly the funniest line ever. It's good to hear you've chosen the B.R.A.T.! Battle Ready Armored Transport Personally I chose the Ford F.E.S.T.I.V.A.! Fire Every Second Toward Incredibly Violent Assailants buk
  13. Hmmmm.... picked a fight at a gun shop. Brain has officially been shut down. buk
  14. A big welcome from Shelbyville, about as Southern and Middle as you can get! buk
  15. We've been talking about this at work for a week now. This completely slipped by me at the time, but now I'm fascinated. This guy mounted a Barrett .50 and an FAL inside, and tv's so he could drive and shoot without exposing himself. He was finally stopped when he drove through a building that he didn't know had a basement. He went through the floor, got trapped and killed himself. I make them call me Captain Killdozer at work now. buk
  16. I'm the original cheap bastard when it comes to hotel rooms. The wife and I usually stay at Microtel hotels. They're tiny but they're cheap and out of dozens of them, only one did I find unsatisfactory. Besides, all I'm doing is sleeping there anyway, unless... . Plus you might want to double check with JD about being open that day. The big bbq cookoff is Saturday and it is a national competition, so it's kinda crazy. I'm guessing they'll be open, but their hours might change. If you've never been there, Lynchburg is a crazy small town. It's not a town where everyone knows everyone, it's more like everyone is related to everyone. If it was me, I'd so Saturday to Lynchburg, but I like food. buk
  17. This sounds like a great idea. We could all bring our guns to trade amongst ourselves in his store. Should drive him nuts. buk
  18. How about zero pay Joe? I could work part time for guns. Think about it! I have to add that my biggest gripe is an employee who knows it all and shoves it down your throat. I can usually spot BS, but if you're new to all this, it's really intimidating. Don't start the new guy out on a super elite tactical whatever, give him a .22. And better yet, if your store has the indoor range, take him and show him. You can win over a lifelong customer with $1 worth of ammo and a few little holes in the X ring. You're not helping our cause by making someone feel stupid. Embrace the new folks, they are the future of our little hobby and possibly your business. Buk
  19. Welcome to TGO! Now what's for dinner? buk
  20. Gee thanks. That .50 was... interesting. Thanks for everyone's welcome messages. I'm starting to feel right at home. buk
  21. Big +1 here! The one on 8th used to be awesome! There used to be police directing traffic into the parking lot so that you could even get up to the drive-thru. Since they branched out they've just hit rock bottom. I've been to the one here in M'boro twice and it just made me sad to remember how good they used to be. buk
  22. When I first saw that picture I knew it had to be a scene from the new Jackie Chan film or something. I can't believe they're actually doing this. I love the pistol guy in front using that 3 inch tube for cover. buk
  23. You would also think he might consider it odd that everyone he was firing at kept falling down!!!! I don't think it would have taken me 16 people hitting the floor to start wondering what was going on. I'm voting on intentional too. buk
  24. The radio ad I keep hearing says open today 4 to 8. buk
  25. Do you guys think this will be better that the Pope show last weekend? I left that feeling like taking $10 out of somebody's a$$! buk
